5fouls
More experimental rules in the minors (Atlantic League only). Moving pitching rubber back 1 foot to 61 feet 6 inches. The ide is to give batter extra time in hopes of reducing strikeouts Double Hook. You lose your DH when you take out your starting pitcher. So, if your pitcher gets bombed and knocked out in the 2nd inning, you have to play the rest of the gamed like there was no DH to begin with. This sounds like an interesting rule but I have a hard time seeing the players agreeing to it. Imagine being a full time DH and never knowing if you're going to get 4 at bats a game or 1 (and possibly zero if the started gets knocked out early enough). It would add a lot of strategy to the game though, especially if the DH is due up the next half inning. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/31256639/mlb-atlantic-league-experiment-moving-back-mound-double-hook-dh
jv1972iu
Mahle looking good through four innings. Trouble is that Johnny Cueto is too! Reds and Giants 0-0. Edited April 14, 2021 by jv1972iu
IU Scott
I guess those first 6 games was an offensive mirage because their offense the last 6 games have not been great.

Either it was the ball park or that the Cardinals and Pirates pitching was so bad. Those first 6 games they scored 57 runs but in the last 6 they have been shutout twice. Seeking6
Apologize to my Cubs fans on here. Never knew the reason why Kris Bryant chose the #17. He chose 17 because it was on the 17th day of April he was called up so Cubs could extra year of service time. I guess I just didn't know that. 5fouls
How about the Red Sox? Nine straight after looking horrendous the first 3 games of the year.

IU Scott
Reds win 10-3 against the Indians. They were back home and like usual they score big. They are 6-1 at home and have scored 67 runs on those games. They are batting above .500 with runners in scoring position at home

Seeking6
Pretty cool story for today. Braves are calling up Sean Kazmar. Jeff Passan on twitter has the details but he's 36. Been in minors for 12 years. Last time played MLB game was 2008. Modern day Crash Davis as he mentioned on twitter.
