He did pitch in a B game a couple days ago and gave up 3 runs in an inning. That was his first action of the spring.
rico
Nick and Moose go back to back. Mahle pitches 2 innings of 1 hit ball with 3 K's. Miley tosses 1 1/3 giving up 2 hits.

5fouls
Looks like the Reds may go with Suarez at SS, move Moose to 3rd, and start the season with Jonathan India at 2nd. I like it!

Proud2BAHoosier
Just saw on the Yankees board where Yankee Stadium will open to only 20% capacity. What are the other baseball stadiums doing? Edited March 19, 2021 by Proud2BAHoosier
rico
Well I see Doolittle pitched 1 inning of scoreless ball tonight. That gets his ERA down to a tidy 19.

5fouls
So, who is going to start at 1B for the Reds on opening day? Apparently, India will get the start at 2nd, with Moose playing either 3rd or 1st.

Seeking6
Just a general comment about MLB. Owners and players are at a serious crossroads on this service time stuff. Cubs sent down Hoerner yesterday after a great spring but I'll bet he's back up in 36 games. Speaking of Cubs. Doesn't sound like Rizzo/Cubs are even close to being on same page contract extension wise. I'd say enjoy him this year Cubs fans.

You are gonna have to fill me in on Rizzo...haven't been following lately.

Players agreed to it in last labor talks...but it's getting used a ton more lately. Rizzo is tough. He should be rewarded for his years but he's aging. Has to be give on both sides. I was listening to some Cub talk coming back home y-day. Bote to start at 2nd, Pederson just as good as Kyle, and Rizzo won’t end his career at Wrigley. At least that was one guy’s opinion.

I think it is going to be a long year for Cub fans unfortunately. I guess it is on par with how the Bears and IU mens bb team played this past year. I think it is how my sports teams have played rather than COVID that has me drinking more beer this past year!
