bluegrassIU
Just saw Georgetown is 3-8! This whole "hire a former great player" stuff almost never works out. Penny Hardaway is not doing much better. 2
Hoosierfan1901
Also UE’s enrollment is dropping pretty bad I heard, down 30% since 2010 https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.14news.com/2020/12/23/ue-staff-has-been-increasing-while-enrollment-has-been-decreasing/%3foutputType=amp Edited January 22, 2021 by Hoosierfan1901

Just looking at their conference, BYU seems like the next best team. They are 48 in KenPom, then San Fran at 73 and St Mary's at 80. Gonzaga always manages to lose one conference game they probably shouldn't

NotIThatLives
Thing is as the pressure mounts and some other team hits their stride late, I can see a loss in one of their last games. Not sure who and making no predictions.
Hoosierfan1901
I think Gonzaga beat St Mary’s like 73-58 when they played
Hoosierfan1901
More UE news Doesn’t say why the Women’s team had to forfeit.... I know this is mainly for men’s basketball, but it’s something to look out for UE and their athletic troubles
Hoosierfan1901
I think this has blown up since a UE Trustee was worry about protecting the D1 status and the Athletic Department only bringing in $12 million annually
NCHoosier32
So, I'm sitting here with some rare down time for both me and my 17 year old son. He's a bball junkie, so I knew we'd put any game on as we sit here. I looked at what the best ones would be at noon. 23 UConn vs 11 Creighton looked pretty good. Kansas vs OK looked pretty good. He insisted on unranked Auburn vs unranked SC. When I try to argue, he explains it's because Auburn has some freshman stud. Again, it helps put in perspective to me that this generation would rather watch a game because of one outstanding player in a meaningless game than two good teams playing for something.

Hoosierfan1901
Down goes KU, most likely ruining their Big 12 title chances

My 16 year old son is very similar. We obviously agree on IU, but other than that, we watch games for totally different reasons. He watches players and not teams as well. I used to watch everything, but the last several years, I've tended to stick to the Big Ten. Villanova is a team I like to watch if they are playing someone decent. And, I might watch 5-10 minutes of a Butler game if they are on. Otherwise, if it's not Big Ten, I'm just not that interested until tournament time. IU Scott
Watching Baylor and OK St. and Cade Cunningham is out for Covid protocol but he is sitting on the bench. I guess I don't understand how he could he at the game.

Hippopotamo
Bouncing around between other National games on right now and I don’t think any of these teams look all that great. I really think IU stacks up and could beat most of the teams playing on tv right now which gives me a glimmer of hope for the future.
