5fouls
Indiana has me scratching my head. One month into the mask mandate, is it just not as effective as expected? Or, would the state have off the chart numbers without it? Whichever the case, the State's numbers are sure not going down.

Yes it is. And obese is considered a BMI over 30. 78% of Americans are overweight not all with BMI over 30. They may not classify as obese, but we are a big time pig time county. Seriously, not trying to sound like some anti masker, which btw I am not down with alot of the new lexicon, back to the point, no I dont believe the masks people are wearing are effective. I dont think masks slow the spread and I think slowing the spread is idiotic and hurts more people than it helps.

Is this supposed to be new, breaking news? Is it supposed to imply that the other 94% would have died anyway? I'm asking because this is what the CDC has been saying all along: People with underlying conditions need to take precautions, because they are the people who are most at risk to die. Elderly people die from COIVD at a higher rate because these demographics are more likely to have (and to a greater degree) said underlying conditions. These numbers back that up. From what I understand, the CDC just started reported the breakdown that way. Yes, we already knew that, just not the exact percentage. In other COVID news- check out this article- https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-020-67211-2.pdf "low-dose-rate far-UVC exposure can potentially safely provide a major reduction in the ambient level of airborne coronaviruses in occupied public locations." UVC light can kill the COVID virus and many other strains. NYC already uses to sanitize their subway trains at night. Watch for bars and restaurants to start installing them. It would be interesting to see a graph of pre-existing conditions by age and overlay it with Covid deaths by age. I'd think that the curve would match up pretty well. I need to get into the UVC ray business. Although, I've heard that only the commercial grade UVC lights really only make a difference. (It may have said that in the article, but I didn't have time to read because I'm running out the door.)
