Eberflus is not NFL head coaching material.  Hard to envision he would ever get a head job again.  Even in P5 college.  It’s not just 3-18.   He’s overwhelmed and overmatched.   Hard to understand how he ever got the top job.  He has zero presence as a leader and his lack of insight speaks for itself.  On the plus side, the Bears can get the USC QB.   That’s finally a difference maker that the city deserves.

I haven't jumped on yet because there just isn't anything to offer. Few thoughts on Bears/Colts/Bengals.

1) My Bears. Good God for the love of all things Beardom just move on from Eberflus. I haven't read the comments from yesterday or today but this much is certain. He's not a head coach. Fields delivers a lifer performance and hopefully a sign of things to come and your D is stuck in a zone all afternoon. I know we had injuries but to a veteran QB like Wilson it's just a matter of time to pick it apart. You can play zone vs rookies not vets.

No clue what will happen moving forward but to me a total rebuild is probably in order once again. I'm talking Lincoln Riley/Caleb/Marvin package because as of now the Bears look like locks for 1st and 2nd picks.

2) Colts....more positive news. Disappointing loss but honestly I loved the fight and the comeback. Couple things here and there but you can see AR isn't fazed by the stage and he appears NFL ready. Looking at the Colts schedule I see nobody left on it they can't beat....and they have a stretch coming up before at Patriots where they could stack some wins together.

3) For the Bengals on here. I have no clue what that was but something is just off.....and it's not just a calf. Weird stuff for a team that was one blown coverage away from a title 2 seasons ago.

I definitely think they need to do a total rebuild. If they have top two picks they got to use them to take Williams/Harrison Jr.  I know a lot of pundits are already saying they should trade down with the second pick, but I think they need to use it and take the two most sure fire NFL stars to build around. Put them in with DJ Moore and build around that. Use the remaining picks on offensive linemen and defensive ends. They have cap money...use it to build a quality o-line/d-line.

I don't know enough about LIncoln Riley, but he can't be worse than Eberflus.

My buddy was at game yesterday. Besides the normal just kick in the nuts feeling he said there was about 6 guys leaving who dropped their pants and were peeing over everything as they were being escorted out by the yellows if that tells you where things stand. Haha.

This should have been hold/DPI... but Granson still has to make this catch and the Colts win the game.

That was a hell of a throw, Granson has to help him out. I don't want to see that flag thrown in an NFL game....

But I want to see the blatant hold on the play we late hit Stafford, or the PI in the end zone on Pittman. Either of those two calls get made and we win the game.

Hey.. he grabbed and turned the WR just like Kenny Moore did. 🤷‍♂️... Minshew wanted it.

Granson has to make that catch.

And... I will admit, I wasn't thrilled with the playcalling on that possession, BUT... that doesn't mean I am right, and I have absolutely loved the play design/calls the rest of the year. 2pt conversions have been solid, RZ offense when AR5 has played has been money. I am really enjoying this Colts team.

Massive game this weekend.

I thought it was an atrocious call against Moore.

Agreed. We could so easily be 4-0 and it's exciting. And it's easy to accept losing two games we could have won with where this team is at and knowing those are valuable lessons for later this year and beyond.

One more thing to add. Shane Steichen is legit and I don't need anything more than the eye test. You can see with the play designs, in game changes (what a shock....they actually matter Eberflus),etc....

In the Bears game yesterday. We had a 4th and 1 to win the game. We run a shotgun handoff into the middle of the line. In the Colts game yesterday that TD to make it 23-21. Guy in motion to draw the outside further out (if that's what you call it) to allow the window for Ogletree. Easy quick pass in space. Followed by the 2 pointer play for Pittman.

Not sure of how but my best friend growing up lives in Newport Beach. His really good friend out there is best friends with Steichen. They vacation together in offseason,etc...but he's 100% football. Always thinking of ways and scenarios to find those 10-11 plays per game where you catch the defense in the exact sets you want. They were in Utah having a beer and he's the kind of guy who is drawing up plays on the napkin and putting it in his pocket as they leave.

While I was watching the Bears lay one I was keeping one eye on Steichen. Can see why Hurts made the jump. Get AR another WR and I will say good times ahead for the Colts in years to come.

They need to cut down on the drops. I counted 4 total. They aren’t the most dynamic receiving corps to begin with, so the least they can do is to catch the ball when AR gets it to them.

I didn’t process how amazing this throw was by AR in real time. Wow.

We get special plays like this every game…he has unlimited potential. We get to the point where he is making the simple more basic reads and passes accurately we will have something very special.

I agree, I think he is ahead of schedule on the simple stuff though.

He’s such an amazing prospect. The only comps I can come with are all in the Hall of Fame (or will be) with Lombardis…Favre, Roethlisberger, even Elway…

Those 3 can't hold a candle to him physically though.

Cam Newton is the only one, I would think, that could be compared.

Early in his career Elway was a very good athlete was ran the ball well.

Yep. They still aren't comparable physically, though.

Elway ran a 4.9 40. He was also only 6'3 215.

All those dudes had cannons for arms, same with AR5. That and having the ability to extend some plays would be the only comparisons to draw, I would think if we are talking about the 3 he named.

But Cam doesn’t really compare from a passing standpoint IMO. AR and guys like Favre and Elway can extend / create plays on their own in the passing game, not just take off and run people over.

Josh Allen is probably the closest comp of a current player? Just need to get AR his Diggs…

Josh Allen.. there we go.

I can understand the "extend plays" type thing.  It's just, I can't compare Brett Favre to an NFL defensive end playing QB... 😆

Like... it's like watching Myles Garrett with quicker feet, play QB.

Peak Cam was better than Allen, he just didn’t stay healthy.
