I've eaten at quite a few of those...There's a Rudy's and a Dickey's within about 5 miles of me...Eaten at Corky's (and I order their BBQ sauce all the time), Mission, Famous Daves (I watched the Wat Shot from the one that used to be in Oswego, Il ) Full Moon (try the Chow Chow), Smokey Bones (?)... Gotta plug my favorite though... Splendora Cafe and BBQ Best Spare Ribs ever, and their Brisket even my fat averse wife will order (lean, of course)....

At the beginning of the meal, they hand out little cards with albums/songs available to play that night. Everyone gets to pick one or two songs and then the DJ starts playing them while you have your meal. Pretty cool to wait and hear your song and see how others are enjoying it. BUT, no list like that is complete w/o the ULTIMATE SHIT SHOW restaurant. I’m still bummed I missed dining at “Ninja New York” before it closed. I think this is still the best restarant review ever written: Quote CONFUSING the point of a restaurant with the mission of a "Saturday Night Live" skit, Ninja New York deposits you in a kooky, dreary subterranean labyrinth that seems better suited to coal mining than to supping. You are greeted there by servers in black costumes who ceaselessly bow, regularly yelp and ever so occasionally tumble, and you are asked to choose between two routes to your table. The first is described by a ninja escort as simple and direct. The second is "dark, dangerous and narrow," involving a long tunnel and a drawbridge that descends only when your escort intones a special command, which he later implores you to keep secret. I recommend a third path: right back out the door. https://www.nytimes.com/2005/10/26/dining/yelping-warriors-and-rocks-in-the-broth.html

The only one in that list we've been to is Tex-Orleans... It's a local chain, but the mom and pop places have a better boil... Just not spicy enough for us... Been to Swamp Donkeys a couple of times, and it's awesome too... It's crazy... Big time stuff around here... HEB Grocery stores even have an outside boil serving all kinds of boil. The one on Northpark Drive in Kingwood must have had 70 people in line the other day

If you're feeling adventurous and would like to try something in this list you may be able to find a recipe HERE! The choice for Indonesia got me searching and found this 50 most delicious foods in the world. So this week was learning to cook Indonesian! Nasi Goreng voted number two, was REALLY good! Yesterday was beef Rendang. Voted number 1! My first bite was hmm?, never tasted anything like it. Before I finished swallowing I was like “I understand why it is so highly regarded “ Will definitely cook again and learn from my mistakes,

Even a national chain like Pizza Hut had it. But if you select a store in, say, Boston or Seattle, the cheese sauce you can order in Indiana is not on the menu. Now I'm curious to know just how regional this is. Mind blown.

He and his family were vacationing down in Florida (I believe it was a pizza hut) and they requested bread sticks/cheese sauce. Without saying anything else, the waitress asked them if they were from Indiana because she's only seen Hoosiers request this combo. lol I love LOve LOVE break sticks and cheese sauce. This should be more mainstream!! We don’t see it out here on the east coast.

In fact, the Pizza Hut in Clarksville IN has cheese sauce while the one right across the river in Jeffersontown KY does not. So this does appear to be a purely Indiana thing. Man, the rest of the country doesn't know what they're missing. Edited May 15, 2023 by Maedhros

Out of curiosity having lived twenty years in Georgia I opened her video on Georgia. I think she got it mostly right except Lemon Pepper chicken is more a main and Brunswick Stew is definitely a side, usually with BBQ!
