Was getting to post something about people complaining about the game being boring. If you want excitement we had that last year vs Akron. For the most part I was pleased with the defense except for the last possession of the first half. The offense was good for the first quarter and a half The bad, the offensive penalties and the pass protection. The first quarter and a half were sound, efficient, and pretty much mistake free. Offensive line struggled in the 2nd half with protection and penalties, making offense challenging. Run offense was pretty good throughout. Defense was solid except for one drive at the end of the first half. Coach Cignetti had a classic sideline interview at the half. Popular Post bronkonagurski Posted September 1 Popular Post Report Share Posted September 1 From where I was sitting (super nice seats by the way, 15 rows behind the IU bench at around the 40 yard line): The good: Dominated the game from start to finish, never really threatened Running game looked good with different ballcarriers shining Defense pretty stout overall The bad: Penalties OL gave up too much pressure Dropped passes The stadium filled out really nicely by kickoff, it looked like a good crowd for an opponent that lacks sizzle. Yes, at least half that crowd was gone after halftime. Hope one day that changes, but I all I can control is myself and I stayed until the clock went to zeroes. It was cool being so close to the IU bench and being able to see the player/coach interactions. We'll find out a lot more about how good this team can be in two weeks in Pasadena, and I'll be there!
