JcityHoosier
6'8 from Jeffersonville...got offers from Northwestern, Louisville, Clemson and Notre Dame....wonder if IU will start making contact
IndyResident16
Saw he was the talk of the tournament this weekend. Very strong and aggressive going to the hole, but doesn't appear to be a very explosive athlete in that he plays well below the rim based on his highlight tape. If he is 6'8, and I'm not sure if he is, that could be problematic. Edited July 16 by IndyResident16

Danomatic
Watched him play a few times over the summer. While he isn’t an above the rim player… he’s smooth and has a pretty decent touch, with a nice shot at all three levels. He doesn’t play above the rim, but he can get up when he needs to. He’s not 6’8 but a solid 6’7.

Hybrid 4, but in today’s age of basketball… he’ll spend a little time on the wing as a spot up at the next level. Handles aren’t bad, but will struggle to create for himself against smaller, more athletic defenders in college. Edit: Will do well inside of 15 ft though. IU is in a good spot with several recruits. This is the first HS recruiting class they’ll have since their NIL budget increased. Some trolls just like to pop up and spew nonsense from time to time. Of course IU could strike out on HS recruits and IF that happens which is a big IF at this point then they will hit the portal. 5

BobSaccamanno
Northwestern does a great job identifying talent that fits their system and can play well together. If I see they want an Indiana kid, my ears perk up. McIntosh and Barnhizer come to mind. Edited October 9 by BobSaccamanno

MP was in on those 3 plus Ty Berry Singleton really blew up He wants to play immediately Doubt he could do that at Purdue When you hear Benter is the best shooter they’ve seen at Purdue Burgess reminds them of Cardinal And both are redshirting? I've seen Benter in person many times. He's not a real good athlete. But I can attest to the fact that he has a pure jumpshot. There is no question that he will be one of the best 3 pt shooters in the Big Ten.

I've watched the kid up close. As in like I've seen him jump, 4 feet from me. He's a solid prospect but he's definitely a spot up guy. Kinda what I heard Needs to get a year of strength training and learn the system like any freshman not sure he’ll be as athletic as Kopp…maybe Cline or Roth type shooter with better passing? I never thought Roth or Cline would miss when they were open so that’s saying a lot 5 years of free college & NIL

Can't leave him open.
