I hadn’t paid too much attention to things the last few days so I missed that. They also could’ve gotten non QB commits too considering they had several other visits this weekend. That said I’d be happy with either. I struggle to believe this kid is a Top 300 player, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't want him, and definitely doesn't mean I'm right. All I'm saying our opinion shouldn't be we want Chery because someone on 247 lists him higher than Mendoza.... just using this situation as an example. But he’s going to need a lot of development. He does have good tools. CCC and Sunseri will get it out of him of he has got it. The track record is great. Our DC, OC, and QB coach (Haines, Shanahan and Sunseri) all seem like legit stud coaches. I wouldn’t be surprised if we look back at this staff someday and see that we have three future head coaches right there. If they produce, pay them for as long as needed.
