Great thing about Montgomery performance is two things. First you now have a top 8 back week in and out taken in the 8th round. Second...in my case....Montgomery might just be the piece I can trade to get Kelce now in another league. Win win win for the Zero RB Draft Strategy guys. Montgomery, Walker, Mostert, White....not to mention the waiver wire guys in Kyren, Achane, Ford and others. I was close last year on drafting a RB earlier this year but never again. I'm worried about Mostert moving forward. 31 yr old, injury-prone RB, and A Wilson, Achane are both clearly in the mix. Should I be worried enough to trade him? opinions? I just offered someone Mostert+C Watson for James Cook.... anyone have an opinion there? I hate the idea of getting rid of someone from the Phins, but idk. I just don't know what others think about Mostert. I would definitely do Mostert straight up for Stevenson. And, I would do it before Wilson plays a down. Once he does, Mostert's value goes down. And, at some point, Miami may decide to run less and get Waddle more involved in the offense. I'm parsonally a believer in C. Watson and would have tried to find a way to do it without him. But, if you can grab Doubs off waivers, that works as well. Love your team. I forgot to mention.... there was an added bonus for me in this trade... Way it stood before the trade.. Week 10- I have Mahomes, Waddle, Mostert, Maher, Philly D all on Bye. I don't carry a 2nd QB, so I will have to plan a roster spot for that, I don't really want to lose Maher if I don't have to, and I like Phillys Def matchups Week 16+17 in our championship, so I'm going to see if I can hang out to them until them. Anyways... creating two roster spots, getting Ford for Mostert, which imo is a CLEAR upgrade moving forward, will give me the flexibility to get some stuff done that week. I'm a Mostert guy....but with Achane getting more touches and Wilson coming back who knows what will happen there?? Although the risk there is if Achane goes down or Wilson gets hurt again....you traded away RB1 in the best offense football. Again every trade has the risks. Seems like now you can start CMC every week with Ford and or White peppered in based on matchups. In terms of WR's. Same thing. Will Watson stay healthy? Palmer will undoubtedly be the #2 WR so it's a lot to give up but there's something about knowing what your lineup will be. Almost a bench housecleaning if you will. How's this for an answer. I can see why the trade happened. Would I do it? Probably not. Ford only getting 9 touches last week scares me.
