That’s coaching. Strategy is part of the game, as are in-game adjustments.

With Dennis coming for a visit itakes you wonder if any other wing player is leaving. With Bates,JHS, Galloway,Kopp and Leal it doesn't appear that a wing player is a need. If you want to win next year it is a need.Top flight defender and can create own shot to open floor.

Adjustments are one of the most important parts of coaching and that happens in games. Painters a decent coach but chokes in the tournament every year. He’s Keady 2.0 and that’s hilarious This isn't what a debate on what style is better. Just noticed in the old games that coaches set for a lot of the game and didn't pace the sidelines the whole game. Even RMK who was a disciplinarian but gave his guys a lot of freedom on the offensive end. Today coaches need to let the players play with some freedom and not be pacing the whole game.

IU will likely lose a guy. What position will that guy be idk and neither does the staff. It could be TJD, Race, JG, or someone else. They have an open scholarship at the moment. Take Dennis now and figure out what to do if Reneau decides to commit. If he goes somewhere else there’s nothing to worry about.

DC2345
I really like the idea of adding Dennis. He has a burst that IU hasn’t had in a long time. Not tom mention he is a really good defender.

He must have been inconsistent because there were plenty of games where he hit 3-5 3's and even had 7 in a game.
btownqb
@IU Scott His ability to elevate on both ends at the rim, from the wing, is for sure not something we currently have. 210lbs. Physical when he drives. Avged 5 rebs. Obviously an elite defender. Simply mentioning the +s of his game. This kid looks immensely better then any guard we lost... 🤷♂️ Edited April 14, 2022 by btownqb

Offers positional flexibility, can stretch a defense and would assimilate really well to some of the defensive ideas we saw on display last year. Would really like to see it happen. He only averaged about three 2-PT attempts per game. So would like to think he could attack a bit more (he's a good athlete). But, this is a proven off-ball-guard at the Division-1 level. Something Indiana's current roster for next season (I'm projecting) doesn't have in abundance. Cheers.
