It was talking about his desire to play for the Yankees some day. So in probably 3 years we will start hearing about trading him before he becomes a free agent. I wish the Reds could sign him to a deal now like the Braves has done with a lot of their young stars. No chance he stays a Red. Need to lock up McLain, Steer, Lodolo, etc. Greene already signed.

It is a shame that baseball is like this when small market can't keep their stars

The right ownership group can keep big stars on small market teams. Can’t say I know a ton about the Reds ownership but I don’t think they’re huge spenders. I do think the Reds attendance hurts them and if that changes, it could help a ton. Cincy and St. Louis aren’t that different from a market size perspective yet the Cardinals always spend a lot more than Cincy.

5fouls
The Reds have the 5th best run differential in the NL. The Reds have a better run differential than the Mariners, who lead the AL West. The Reds entered the night in last place in the NL Central. The Cardinals have the 3rd worst run differential in the NL. If the playoffs started today, the Cardinals would be the 2nd Wild Card in the NL. There has to be a correction in the W/L column by one or both of those teams in the 2nd half, doesn't there? Only the Rays have over-performed more. The Cardinals are also the only team above .500 with a negative run differential.

IU Scott
Reds lose 3-2 to the Marlins. The 10 game homestead was a little disappointing going 5-5 especially since it was against the Tigers,Rockies and Marlins. Getting swept by the Tigers was costly. They just seem to struggle against LHP starters

IU Scott
Disappointed in the Reds first round pick. The Reds need some OF hitters and they pass on a guy who led D1 in batting average and home runs. They draft another pitcher who wind up looks like it can create arm problems. One of the announcers said his wind up could eventually send him to the bullpen.
