FritzIam4IU
The way the Cubs are playing the past couple weeks, they don't deserve to be in the playoffs. How the hell do they lose 2 out of 3 at home to Pittsburgh in crunch time?? Edited September 22, 2023 by FritzIam4IU

We've had 1 starter since July and with the exception of Wicks the rest of the staff has stunk and Jed did nothing to improve it. If this team makes the playoffs somehow MLB should revisit the WC stuff.

Proud2BAHoosier
Yankees ace pitcher, Gerrit Cole, probably solidified his AL Cy Young chances last night beating the Blue Jays, 5-3. Cole pitched his last home game of the season going 8 innings with 9 strikeouts and 1 hit, the only run scored on a passed ball. He is 14-4 and a 2.75 era for the year. He has been a bright spot in an otherwise dismal year. For all you Yankee haters, playoffs won't be the same without the Pinstripes this year.... IU Scott
Heard these stats today on the radio and no wonder the Reds offense is struggling. EDLC 3-34Â India 4-34Â Stephenson 5-35Â Votto 5-44Â Fraley 5-29Â Martini 4-
IUFLA
Brewers put up a 12 spot on the Marlins in the 2nd inning 😯
IU Scott
Reds tied at 1 after 4. The Pirates run came on a home run but it wouldn't have been a homer in many ballparks. Reds blew a lot of early opportunities leaving 5 guys on in the first two innings. Pirates pitchers walked 4 and hit a batter but could only 1 run. While writing this the Pirates hit another homer that barely got out
IU Scott
Reds down 6-5 going to bottom of 7th. The Reds had blown the lead 3 times so far tonight. Between gad bullpen and horrible defense it seems like they don't want to win
IU Scott
For some reason David Bell thought it was a good idea to bring Duarte in the 9th down 6-5. First 3 batters Walk, HBP, Walk and now SAC fly to put Pirates up 7:5 with 1 out
IU Scott
Reds lose 7-5 which outs them 1.5 games back. Had 1-0 lead 3-2 lead 4-3 lead and 5-4 lead but the bullpen gave up the lead the next inning. The last two games the bullpen has thrown 6.1 innings and has given up 9 runs. If you count the game before that when we used only bullpen where they gave up 7 runs. That is 15.2 innings and 16 runs and all losses. Proud2BAHoosier
Yanks aren't going anywhere this post season, but Aaron Judge smacked 3 homeruns in last night's 7-1 win over the D'backs. It is Judge's second 3 run homer in one game this season, the first player in franchise history to do so!!

IU Scott
Good start for the Reds up 8-0 after 2. Reds has hit 3 homers including Freidl inside the park homer
IU Scott
Reds 9-0 lead is now down to a 9-6 lead in the 6th inning
IU Scott
Reds down 10-9 in the 8th with two on and no outs. Could have turned a DP if they would have 2B where a second baseman should be positioned. Instead we have him like 20 feet to far towards first base. IU Scott
Now the Reds are down 13-9. After 3 the Reds were up 9-0 and had 11 hits. Since 0 runs on 0 hits. Bullpen has given up 10 runs in 3 innings. The brought Diaz in the 8th inning tied at 9 and he gave up 4 runs and 5 hits in .2 innings. IU Scott
Reds lose 13-12 Reds had 2nd and 3rd and no outs but could only score one run. Had a guy on 3rd and one out and couldn't score. We should have scored two runs because Votto was on first and Freidl hit a ball down the right field line that should have scored Votto and Freidl could have been at 3rd. Votto was to slow and had to stop him at 3rd. Fraley then grounded out that scored Votto but if he scored on the previous hit then we would have tied it. Proud2BAHoosier
With the Yankees loss today against the D'backs today, they have been officially eliminated. You guys have fun rooting for your teams that may still be in contention for any post-season. As Cub fans would say..... Wait 'til next year... IU Scott
Reds win 11-7, hitting 5 HR EDLC with 2 homers and his second went 468 feet and 119 mph off of his bat. Reds are now 81-77 meaning that won't have a losing season after going 61-101 last year. Bullpen went 6IP 0 runs, 1 hit tonight. Green gave up 7 runs in 3 innings, after only giving up 4 runs his last 4 starts
