Lead off walks will always kill you. Up 3-2 in the top of the 8th Sims walks the first batter and came in to score on a sac fly. Freidl with the lack of fundamentals allowed the go ahead runner to second by over throwing the cut off man. This team is just playing awful right now.  The huge difference in these two teams is definitely the bullpen because you give the Brewers a lead late it is over

Diaz came in and gave up the go ahead run down 4-3. This is kind of reminding me when Pete Rose was the manager and we kept finishing second in the division. I remember we would be in the race and in late July and August we would play the first place team and get waxed. One time we were 2 games behind SF and went out in August and got swept and we couldn't score against their pitching.

Senzel needs to go, he turned in a routine fly ball into a two base error. He shouldn't ever play in the outfield again. With Freidl and Fraley having no arms it makes our outfield defense horrible. You then bring in Farmer to hold the game at 1 run who has given up 9 runs in his last 6 innings.

They need to trade India and Senzel and other pieces to actually get some quality outfielders

We don't need to see infielders like Steer and Senzel playing their again.

Wonder if the last week is more what this team is and June was a fluke. There is no need to keep 3 catchers on this roster so they need to release Cassali. He has played in 2 games in the last couple of weeks. Also Newman and Senzel could be moved and bring up CES and figure out a lineup.

Freidl 9 for his last 48

McClain was 9 for his last 37 until today

Steer was 0 for his last 22 until getting 1 hit today.

Reds getting swept at home coming out the break isn't ideal but no need to panic. Not sure if anyone saw it on Twitter but the throw from Elly was registered at 97.9. No clue when they started clocking those but that looked like Shawon Dunston.

For the Cubs brethren. Stroman's answer to reporter question after game yesterday was about well as you could say anything. Basically why would an organization not want to be good year after year vs selling players at trade....

Senzel made a game saving catch in the 9th inning just last week.  You might be over-reacting to the mistake today.

What is the saying about the be blind squirrel. Also it isn't just about today's miscue but he has had trouble just judging fly balls most of the year

Or a Yankees fan.... Colorado took 2 of 3 from the pinstripes!!

I'll say it here and now....

The Yankees Suck!!!

I actually think the Yankees are a dark horse...as funny as that sounds. Get Judge back....the bullpen is built for October. Who knows what happens with SO but don't count your guys out.

Schwarber had a huge weekend.

3HR, 2 GW RBI, 7 RBI in the 4 game set. All of that was done in the final 3 games.

38% of his hits this year are dongs. No clue what the record is but when he hits the pitch he wants he sure makes it count.

I know people will focus on the .190 BA....but Kyle Schwarber has .316 OBP and I'd gladly take his 24 on pace for another 45 HR season bat.

.316 OBP isn't very good. The Tigers have the worst offense in baseball and have 4 guys with a higher OBP than that. Luckily he hits home runs or he'd probably be in the minors by now.
