  1. Doesn’t seem to have any lift. He’s double pumping on shots he normally dunks.
  2. He has to like the freedom CMW gives JHS, and the success he’s had so far. That could certainly work in our favor.
  3. Sorry, got a little off topic, with the discussion about tip off times.
  4. Who would want to be UCLA or USC with that kind of schedule? Juggling school and athletics is hard enough, let alone traveling coast to coast to play Maryland or Rutgers, and that’s not even taking fans into consideration. The B10 will need to bring on some more west coast/mountain region teams to make this work….I’m sure it’s already in the works
  5. Back in the day CBS was really the only option, and they broadcast on a regional basis on most Saturdays, unless it was a monster game and then they carried it nationwide. Since I live in Asheville, NC, it was always Duke or the Tarheels, so most of the time I was out of the luck. To my dismay, the LSU game against Shaq wasn’t carried in our area. How could they do that - Shaq against the Hoosiers, Knight against Dale Brown. So I decided to get in the car and drive over the mountains to Johnson City, TN, and rent hotel room to watch the game. It was well worth it because, as you know, we won, and the amazing thing was Matt Nover (6’8”) guarded Shaq most of the game. Dale Brown went nuts, and of course, Knight was Knight. Anyway, thanks to BTN/Fox, I don’t have to do that anymore.
  6. I’ve been programmed over too many years, but I’m coming around.
  7. This matchup should determine the B10 POTY and maybe even the National POTY.
  8. I was fine not being ranked….hope this isn’t a bad omen for tomorrow night. Seems like every time we’re ranked, we go on a losing streak, but hopefully we have a different mindset this time.
  9. Who’d a thought? We can’t shoot, but somehow we’re #19 in the country.
  10. We’re starting to look like some of the old IU teams by imposing our will on the other team. What a difference from Archie’s teams….great job CMW and welcome back.
  11. These whistle happy refs are ruining a good game!
  12. Reports are CMW will be back for tomorrow’s game….good news.
  13. All I can add is that this is a really good team (final four caliber) and fun to watch. They’re a tough bunch that has a “refuse to lose” attitude.
  14. I think he compensates for size/length with his exceptional quickness and leaping ability on offense and defense.
  15. A mid-range jumper would be nice, and I’m confident it will come. He’s a smart young man and knows what he needs to do to be successful at the next level, but his real strength in his sheer athletic ability that is unmatched at the college level. He’s not a plodder like Purdue’s bigs or someone like Kofi Cockburn that typically fail in the NBA. As far as being out muscled in the NBA, I’m not sure I agree with that. He’s strong enough to hold his own, but his real advantage will be his speed, quickness and jumping ability even at the pro level. He’s become a good finisher at the rim and his jump hook is almost unstoppable, which will translate to the NBA. His rebounding and defense will take care of itself. I realize the NBA loves bigs that can step out and shoot, but there’ll be a spot on someone’s roster next year, and TJD will take full advantage…..count on it.
  16. Man that was ugly, but I’ll take any win on the road and move on. I just hope CMW is back for Ohio St to kick some butt, if our guys lose their focus like tonight.
  17. Don’t care about the Top 25 right now…just keep winning baby!
  18. It may be a long time before we see a player like TJD again Hoosier fans….total dominance today with 31/15/4/5. If there’s a better athlete in the country someone tell me please.
  19. Now that’s a quote for the ages!
  20. And it mostly goes unnoticed because he doesn’t score as much as most expect.
