Ehh hard to recruit these high profile recruits if they see we are going to stack veterans ahead of them from elsewhere. Also hard to hold onto our own guys whose time it will be to see the floor. Gunn, Bates, and Trey should suffice for shooting…plus spot play Leal.

Normally, I’d agree, but assuming JHS leaves early, we lose our entire starting 5 (including XJ), with only two recruits coming in. We’ll have to look to the portal to fill out the roster.

    As in a 5-6 seed or a 7-8 seed?

There is no way we end up as low as a 7-8 seed. We were the top 4 seed last week, and since then have gone 2-1 with wins over Illinois and Purdue. We are probably on the 3 line right now.

I think he meant how many B10 teams get in the Dance.

Just last year....Chet Holmgren from Gonzaga. Went 41-105 from the 3, or 39%.

Pretty sure he's a pro now.

Always exceptions, but from a defensive standpoint I like the idea of keeping him away from the basket. It’s a lot easier to defend 7’2” on the 3pt line rather than 3ft from the basket.

Edey’s replacement is 7’2 William Berg, who apparently has an outside shot

Good, keep him away from the basket. Nothing like a 7’2” guy that likes to hang out on the 3pt line…what a waste.

I love that the guy that voted IU number 1 came with facts about why he did so.  I guess he got some flack for the vote and being from UNC but he isn’t wrong.  From ESPN:

"It's nothing against South Carolina, but the Big Ten is incredibly strong this season and Indiana has played a tougher conference schedule," voter Mitchell Northam said. "While the Gamecocks needed OT to get by Ole Miss, the Hoosiers handily beat ranked teams in Ohio State and Michigan this past week. I wanted to reward them for that. Indiana also has five wins against top-10 teams this season, the most in the country, and hasn't lost since Grace Berger has been healthy."

And I would add potentially undefeated if she doesn’t get hurt.

Almost certainly undefeated, if she doesn’t get injured.

  6. The media (even ESPN) is calling for Miller to be suspended, and the program to be shut down for the remainder of season just like New Mexico State. I’m sure Alabama is going to try to ride this out until the coverage dies down, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anytime soon. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out, and if he makes it through the end of season.

I guess the story their selling is that Miller gave Miles a ride to a bar or club or something and Miller just left the gun in his back seat without Miller's knowledge.

Then Miles texted Miller asking him to come pick him up. While on the way to picking him up, Miles then texted asking for the gun but since Miller was already on the way he never even saw that text.

Quite a tail to sell. Why would Miles text asking for the gun, if Miles thought Miller jad no idea he had a gun? Makes no sense.

When things don’t make sense, there’s usually a reason. At a minimum, he should have been suspended pending an investigation.
