SIAP .. This dude can do it all offensively. He can throw it down too. I will be ecstatic if we land him.
X, Knecht, Ledlum, Malik, Ware .. Galloway 6th man, Gunn/Banks a year older.. Add another guard maybe? I like it a lot.
Man this kid looks fantastic…do we have a visit scheduled? Don’t want to get too carried away, but I see a little Jerry West in him….anyone else see that?

Like this kid?
Dalton Knecht averaged 20.2 points and shot 38.1 percent from the arc on 6.3 3-point attempts per game. He shot 45 percent from 3-point range as a junior college All-American before arriving at Northern Colorado.
Knecht was the only player in the country in 2022-23 to be at least 6-foot-6, shoot 38 percent or better from 3-point range and have at least 35 dunks.
I’d take that! 🙌

If we could manage to land 2 of the top 10, that’d cool.
cool for sure.
We really need one of the portal guys to be an absolute knock down volume 3pt threat. We haven’t had that for several years, and won’t be a national title threat without it.

10 days out and feeling pretty good, all things considered. Thanks

I appreciate the great info and insight from so many on this site. I’m sure I waste more time than I should here, but I just wanted to say I appreciate this group.
I feel the same way, but I’m retired and recovering from heart surgery, so I have a lot time to waste.

I’m going to miss Tamar! He will come out of his slump and I’m rooting for him.
I expect him to be a really good player…he’s the one I hated to lose.

Well, I guess Miami is a pretty good team after all.

Maybe so, but based on how he finished the previous season, I am betting he would have figured it out
For the sake of next year’s season, I hope you’re right.

I can’t believe how ugly the Creighton/San Diego St. is right now….nether team can hit a shot. Seemed like we never got a team on an off day, but that may have been because we really weren’t an elite defensive team.

U Conn is long and quick at every position, and they have guards and wings that create their own shot….maybe that’s us next year. 😀

With the exception of their 7ft center, FAU’s entire team is lightning quick, and everyone rebounds…something we were sorely missing.

I mean, in a vacuum, I'm happy for her - if the options are "no IU women in top 5" or "attractive and still really good IU woman in top 5" I want them to get the bag, it just feels slimy.
Let’s face it, she’s attractive and that sells…and a good basketball player too.

She’s a good player, but it’s all about appeal and social media.

Does anybody worry about chemistry issues if we do (and I don't think we do) bring in 5 portal tranfers?
We saw it to some extent with Ohio State and Illinois this year in the Big 10...And I think we saw it a lot the last few years at the one and done factories like Kentucky and Duke...
I thought this article was interesting, talking about roster stability and success...It's Pac 12 related but also lays out some relevant points...
Earlier I read on here that Coach Woodson has "been successful" in the portal...I'd say we're hitting .500...XJ and Kopp have been good, and Durr and Stewart (and I know he transferred to IU when Archie was the coach) weren't so good, but no one can say that everything was hunky dory on the chemistry front last year...3 of the Windy City 5 were transfers, and both Durr and Stewart had disciplinary measures taken on them...
I'm just saying, that for every Kansas State story, there's an Oklahoma story to match...
Sure, team chemistry is always a concern, even with a steady flow of your own recruits, but it’s probably more of a concern when you have to go to the portal to fill out your roster.

From everything I've read, he's a great teammate...Often cited as the funniest guy on the team who keeps everybody loose...
I remember at the first of the year, there was a video of him saying "now, we are the hunted" playing upon pre-season predictions for IU...So he tries to lead...I'm just not sure, with Race, Trayce, and Miller, he was in the best position to do so...
I'm pretty sure Coach Woodson has seen that movie before...Multiple times...And as @btownqb said
And according to his teammates, he has the work ethic and desire...
“He is always putting that extra time in to work on his game, and I think that the way he’s been playing recently is a credit to that,” forward Race Thompson said this week. “I think that it’s (his recent level of play) not a surprise to any of us because we see him do it every day.”
"Something that Tamar does really well is his work ethic," Jackson-Davis said. "He's in the gym late nights, early mornings. He's trying to be the best player that he can be, he's always starving to get better. I've taken some of the things that he does and try to implement it to myself and my work because I think he's one of the best workers on our team."
I personally think he'll be back next year, and that we'll see progress to his game...
I hope you’re right….the talent is obviously there, but it seems he lacks the confidence to put it together on a consistent basis. I don’t think it’s work ethic or desire, just a confidence issue, so let’s hope he stays and reaches his potential.

College athletics as we have known it will be destroyed in 10 years IMO. It will be the two super conferences operating minor league teams.
It might not take 10 years.

I'm not going to get excited about transfers at this point in the game, but man did I like the clips of Timberlake. Quick release. Can catch and shoot off screens (and off-balance). Has the ability to drive. Can create his own shot. Can get to the line and shoots it at 85% from the stripe.
Only one problem…I’m sure a lot of other teams are excited too.

Oh well, it was just a wish. Timberlake seems like that type of player, and maybe even better.

Can't say I'm sorry about that. Penn State was our kryptonite this year
Interesting to see who transfers, if that’s the case. Would love to have Funk as our sharpshooter, with an attitude….just a wish.
