At least I got to see IU win 3 championships and see them be an elite program. I don't know if I will ever get to see that again. Just totally unacceptable
I feel the same way. I’m 70 years old, and beginning to think I won’t see another championship in my lifetime. 🙁

Since it’s at Rutgers, Malik already had 2 fouls 3 hours before the game
I’d laugh, if it wasn’t true 🙁

Excellent article on XJ per @The Daily Hoosier
The kid's been through a lot...Nothing but respect for him...
He’s frustrating to watch sometimes, but I love his competitive spirit and attitude. How about him laughing off that FT he air balled the other night, and then making the second shot…most players would have missed both shots.

i think what i have learned is that you should focus on the good right now. mention the bad when we lose at Rutgers.
We’re going to win at Rutgers!

Good news…we’re up to 156th in the nation on 3 pt shooting at 34%. The bad news is we’re #350 out of 351 on shots attempted per game at 14.3 - classic “glass half full”.
-
19 turnovers = a loss…it’s that simple. No further analysis necessary.

Really hard to believe Illinois beat NW by 30 without Shannon Jr.

That’s way too many, obviously…… but man, allowing 51 pts with 3’s as well as turning the ball over 19 times and still winning by dbbl digits is still impressive.
Impressive, but a recipe for disaster.

KSU 17-35 (48.6%) on 3 pointers…we make every team we play look like the Golden State Warriors.

I’m not watching the game, but it’s hard to comprehend how bad we are on our perimeter defense.
-
Another really nice game for TJD last night against the Heat - his third double/double of the season, with 10 pts, 11 reb, 2 blk and +8 in minutes played.

Any update on X? A few minutes would be good to get some rust off. Hopefully, this is his last injury for the year.
My thoughts exactly, especially since we’re on the road at Nebraska next week.

Correction - that’s #275 not #75…to good to be true, but still an improvement.
Wishful thinking 😄

I rarely stay up much past 10:00, but I’ve been up until 1:00am twice this week watching Warriors games! 😄

But to be fair... we had many of our fans, for some reason, didn't think he'd be successful in the NBA.
Early returns say that's wrong.
Last 3-- 24mins 16-23 FGs (70%) 11ppg 12rpg
There were many doubters including most NBA teams, but with his atheletism (and smarts) it was hard to imagine him not being successful, and the Warriors are a great fit. I wouldn’t be surprised if they trade Looney or Green in the near future, because they won’t be able to keep TJD off the floor.

One good game and we jump from the 300s to # 75 in team 3pt shooting at 30.6%.

I go back to Knight's first teams, and saw a lot of great players, but TJD is one of my favorites too.
And I might add that Woodson was one of my favorites.

I love all of this. I'm not as old as some of you geezers, but I am old enough and TJD is one of my favorite IU players ever. Went through some lean(er) years and caught a lot of flak but never gave up, got better, and loves IU. I wish he had been surrounded by better players because he deserved a good tourney run as a swan song.

Well, at least we got the win and avoided completely blowing our tournament chances.
That was not good.
Good to see IU not give up. Excellent performance by Walker. As poor as we played, I think Woodson deserves some credit for sticking with Walker at the 4 and platooning Ware/Reneau at the 5.
Going with a smaller, more athletic lineup directly impacted the improved defense down the stretch.
Didn't love that one 3 from Galloway late, but had absolutely zero issues with the one Mgbako took.
Some big rebounds and strong D late from Cupps. But, is he this bad of a shooter?
No, he’s just a freshman feeling the pressure of big time basketball. He’ll be fine, but we need XJ back for the B10 season.

Warriors beat Celtics in OT - TJD 10 pts / 13 rebounds / 3 blocks, +25 differential. He’ll be starting before the season is over.

I hate to say it, but I’m not that upset, because my expectations are so low, and sadly I’ve come to expect this type of performance. Having said that, I still think we have the talent to make a run before the season is over, so I’ll keep watching.
