I’m always hopeful, but I’m not expecting a win on Friday night…so surprise me. 😊

I’ve got a lot of gripes about last night’s game (mainly the officiating), but let’s give Purdue some credit. They were the better team. Edey did what he does and we couldn’t stop him, and their guards hit big shots when it mattered most. We were outplayed and out toughed. It’s that simple, so let’s move on to Friday’s game, and hope for the best in Madison.

I just saw that… oh, what could have been.

The refs took us out of the game in the 1st half. We played them even in the 2nd half, but it was just too much to overcome.

Our guards outscored 27-11 so far, and down 13 pts at the FT line.

Giving up a wide open 3 at the buzzer to end the half is our season in a nutshell….sad.

I very rarely complain about officiating, but the refs have absolutely taken this game away from us .

Edey throws an elbow every time he makes a move.

The difference is they have shooters and we don’t. 😕

If we lose, it won’t be because of Edey. It’ll be because we couldn’t stop Loyer, Smith and Jones.

Endurance and stamina maybe, but coordination, touch and footwork…cmon.

Actually, I like our chances, if we can keep him away from the basket.

If Sparks can use his strength to keep him away from the basket, then mission accomplished. He can’t shoot or get offensive rebounds when he’s more than 3ft away from the basket…he’s not that skilled. Again, 5-7 minutes per half is all we need. I’’m sure CMW has a plan.

Only bring Sparks in to spot Ware and keep him out of foul trouble, but pound away at Edey while he’s in there.

Monteverde plays at 7:30 tonight on ESPN2. Good chance to see McNeeley and Queen.

Sparks needs to pound on him and wear him down, but he’ll have to be careful not to get a flagrant foul, because the refs always seem to protect Edey, even though he’s the one usually throwing elbows. Let’s go Sparks! 💪

We’ll get them when they come to Bloomington.

Yes, painful memories

I agree, Edey will get his, but Sparks should provide needed relief for Ware. We just need to limit the other guys. We did a great job on Loyer and Smith last year, and in my opinion that’s the key again this year.
