No discussion of Thomas Bryant’s game winning layup that got called for goaltending today??  And Vonleh hit the go ahead shot for the Knicks just before that.  They’ve both been starting this season, good to see them have some success.

Happy that Thomas has found success.  I always liked him and thought he always gave max effort at IU.

    Vonleh....I could care less about.

I will be too.  I just think Giannis will carry them until his wheels fall off.  Maybe we get lucky and that happens towards the end of the season.  However the end of March worries me for the Pacers.  Beginning March 7th and ending March 29th.  We play the following 8 games(easily the toughest stretch of the Pacers season):

    Bucks(A)

    76ers(A)

    Knicks(H)

    Thunder(H)

    Nuggets(A)

    Trailblazers(A)

    Clippers(A)

    Warriors(A)

    Nuggets(H)

    Thunder(A)

    Celtics(H)

This will be a tough 11 game stretch.  This stretch could define if we get the #2, #3 or #4 seed with the playoffs shortly after this tough stretch.  Only non playoff team here is the Knicks.

Yikes.  that is brutal  4-7 would be an accomplishment.  All the more important that they take care of business now.  Can't be losing any more to teams like the Cavs (I still can't comprehend that home loss).

With the way things are looking mid way into the season, as long as the Pacers can maintain no big health concerns moving forward, I think they end up as the 3rd or 4th seed in the playoffs.  The Celtics I think are candidate to finish in the fourth or fifth spot, especially the fifth spot if they continue to have the issues that they are having currently.  The 76ers are still a toss up for me and they could flip with Boston for the 5th seed.  I think the Raptors and Bucks still finish as the #1 and #2 seed and the end of the regular season.  I think we have a strong blueprint to beat the Bucks, however the Raptors I am not sure as we have yet to see them fully healthy this season when we have faced them.  I think if we finish in the top 3, we will win our first round series for sure regardless who we play, if we finish 4th and have to play Philly or Boston in the first series then I think it'll take all 7 games.

I think the Pacers need to go 4-1 during this upcoming 5 game home stretch.

I'll actually be disappointed if the Pacers finish behind the Bucks.

Maybe it's not Kyrie? Among regular rotation players his ranks are below...

    PER: 15th

    WS: 14th

    VORP: 11th

    Box +/-: 7th

    Off Box +/-: 3rd

The Celtics definitely have some chemistry issues, something isn't right, and Kyrie has probably contributed to some of that, but at the same time some guys just haven't shown up this season. I'm a fan of his, but Jaylen Brown has been bad this season, Rozier has had a difficult time going back to the bench and isn't embracing his role, and reintegrating Hayward has been more challenging than probably most thought.

Celtics need a new coach.  :coffee:

Just a general comment. When did Jimmy Butler think he became the 2nd coming? Wouldn't be surprised if Philly tries to deal him. 3 teams. 3 times he's had problems with his role.

If I was a NBA Owner/GM/Coach, he wouldn't be on my team if he offered to play for $1.

    Lol

in all seriousness the dude is absolutely on fire. Another 43 point game to lead the Thunder to another W, 22 in the 3rd, scored from all over the floor. And should be in the conversation for defensive POY

Impressive couple of games, that;s for sure.

7 straight W's for the Pacers,  with the two biggest wins over Bucks and 76ers and a hard young fighting Kings teams.  This team is playing well and sharing.  Take care of the next 7 opponents(Raptors and Pistons are the only two with winning records I believe).  I can see winning 6 of their next 7, with the team being 26-11 going into 2019!

One of the great things about the Pacers are not only that they are winning, but they are an extremely easy team to like.  No prima donnas or thugs on the team.

I've moved on because I said the very first day the trade was made (as a couple others did on this board) that we won the trade. With that said...my digs at PG are purely at him and his agents. They handled a departure as poorly as possible. I'll never forget him for that...and judging on how he handled LA and his last move this offseason...he's 0-2 in handling things correctly.

I think Hoopster is his agent.

Lol, the sour grapes are the continuing pot shots at PG whenever there is an opportunity, it's like spurned, catty girlfriends here. Not directed at you, just the now usual post when PG has an off game, while ignoring everything he's doing, including leading the Thunder in scoring to the top of the West.

Thing is with the ""Robin" thing, you can't take Vic on the current Pacers -- which are significantly different than the P's PG left --and draw that direct comparison. This is not the team PG was on. Put Teague as the point and Vic's numbers would be significantly different. And PG, as the P's franchise player, was the primary guy in those 2 EC finals series against LeBron. He was not "Robin."

On the Thunder, that's Russ's team for sure, but PG is now the leading scorer and leads in steals, it's not really a "Robin" role, it's a team with two stars, like Shaq/Kobe, etc.  Right, PG and Vic are in better situations for both of them, but calling PG a "Robin" is just another way to be dismissive.

PG's "stats" at this point in the season:

24.3 ppg (12th in League), 7.8 boards, 4.3 assists, 56 total and 2.24 spg (1st in League), Thunder at 17-8 in 1st in West. That's some Robin.

The digs at PG have nothing to do with him.  Every Pacer fan on here has moved on.  They digs at PG on this board are purely in jest, with the intent to get you fired up because of your man-crush on him.  The Paul George jabs are nothing more than a running joke, similar to all my ex-wives.
