Just noticed that Billy Hamilton is in the Indians camp this spring. Will be interesting to see if he can make the team.

I actually enjoyed last season because of the shortened season. It made every game a little more important and I have always thought the baseball season is way to long.
Nothing wrong with that. I'm just different, Baseball, at it's best, is mostly relaxing, with periodic moments of tension. And, the 162 game schedule makes it easier to overcome injuries and/or the occasional bad performance.

Nova commits 1 foul and only 3 turnovers in the first half against Butler. And, they are down 10.
They are obviously shooting poorly, but they are still an enjoyable team to watch.

Not a lot of familiar names out there. Mostly middle relievers, 4th outfielders, and guys looking for a second chance. Probably the most intriguing name is Jameson Taillon of the Yankees coming off Tommy John surgery.

I'm 55 years old and last season was the most disconnected I have been with baseball since I started playing Little League at age 7. The bastardized season just had no appeal to me whatsoever. Part of what has always made baseball special for me is the history. And, it was just very difficult for my mind to build a historical framework around a 60 day season played solely against a select group of teams.
I honestly do not recall watching a complete game all season, and really did not even try until the World Series. I didn't even really follow the Reds. I know that Trevor Bauer won the Cy Young, but I'm not even sure I watched him pitch more than 2-3 innings.
I'm rededicating myself to following baseball more closely this season. I'm thinking of using this board to help me do that. The rest of you need to be prepared for some serious baseball discussions for the next few months.

While I agree Prison Workers should be vaccinated in early phases, I gotta say vaccinating prisoners before all at-risk people in the general population are vaccinated is just flat wrong.

In Indiana, the percentage of ICU beds in use by Covid patients is now 7.4%. That's the lowest figure since the state began tracking the stat on 4/8/20.

But, I guess that's not happening. As an Eagles fan I'm not too excited about heading into next season with Hurts and Nate Sudfeld as our QB's. I was hoping to not have to take a QB with #6 but it's looking like that would make the most sense.
Hey now. Let's not dis on Nate Sudfeld.

Lol...shows you how long ago I made the name up...
1998 I think, on the old Star-News site. I was still in the USAF stationed on the Florida panhandle...
And I'd never go with IUTEX...ugh...
In honor of our Free Throw shooting, you could move to Tupelo and change your name to 'IUMIS'.

Great stuff @fasbjd. Keep it coming!

Snowmageddon is kind of a bust here in Sellersburg. Maybe an inch and a half of snow overnight, and another inch or so of sleet this afternoon. but nowhere close to the 8-9 inches that was hyped all weekend. It is colder than snot out there though.

And Damezi Anderson didn't play in either of them. They played 13 guys in the blowout win. I know Loyola has a veteran team and Damezi had planned to sit this year but you would think he could get in more than 3 games in this freebie of a season. I hope he's not injured.
Maybe we can get him as a transfer.

Marquette loses again (6 of last 7). Now 9-12. Garcia scoreless on 0-6 shooting. Wojo in trouble?
Let's hire him.

Think Roy will call it a day after this year?
He's got 8 top 70 guys on the roster, so he's got the talent.
I think the pasture is calling...
He's going to join a Purdue sorority?

Impossible for anyone to know this far in advance. Beware of people on social media posing as meteorologists. If anyone is projecting total amounts more than 3 days out, they likely aren't legitimate weather forecasters.
Her meteorological qualification depends on how good looking she is.

Moved to FL last year. It was 83 and sunny here today. Lived through too many miserable winters in IN, NE OH and Iowa.
Wife and I are in serious discussions about it. Youngest is a high school freshman right now. I want Arizona. Spring Training and abundant sunshine. She's all for that, but only for part of the year. I'm like, uhhhhh we ain't paying for and keeping up two houses.
