Tournament starts here for the Hoosiers. No recovery room left with a loss in this one.

I did not watch last night and may decide not to watch again until the BTT. So, I cant weigh in about how we let last night get away.
But, it does seem that, over the last few years, we come from ahead to lose significantly more games down the stretch than we come from behind to win.
For me, that points more to a lack of on-court leadership than it does coaching.
Bob Knight didn't design a play to get the ball to Keith Smart in '87, despite Smart carrying the team down the stretch of that game up until that point. The play was designed for Alford.
But, when Daryl Thomas got the pass, he recognized he personally wasn't going to get a good shot off. Throw that same pass today and TJD forces up a bad shot. And, Smart knew better than to stand and watch. He cut to give Thomas a passing angle. None of our wing players would do that today.
This group of players does not do things like that. And, I refuse to believe it's the coaching. The players lack the commitment to be great. We saw that with the Windy City 5. And, doesnt that loss look huge right now.

There is only one person Dan Dakich feels is worthy enough to coach IU.....and that is Dan Dakich.

So what’s the consensus at this point… we need to win 3 straight vs Maryland, Minnesota, and Rutgers(who is very good of late).
Does that get us in at 19-11 with a loss to Purdue? Or do we need some games in the B10?
19-11 regular season gets us in.
That said, if we go 18-12, it's going to take a good run in BTT. Assuming we lose in BTT at some point, we would have 13 losses. That's not a number that gets you in that often.

Gard apparently has 'pictures' of some Big Ten officials.

They were lucky that there were no bumper stickers involved.

Baffert suspended and the 2021 Derby win is taken away. 2nd place horse declared the winner.
How will they figure out the betting mess on this?
I dont even recall who finished 2nd and what those odds were. I assume you would have to have a valid vetting slip. Lack of people having that should reduce the chaos a bit.

Officially decided not to watch. Have a good one gents.

Sectionals 8 and 10.
Sectional #63 at Loogootee has 3 of the Top 7 teams in 1A. It also has fan bases that are among the most passionate in the state.

Does anyone know any details on Galloway? I'm rooting for flu bug, but fear it will be something like Plantar Fasciatis (I know I didn't spell that right, get over it).

So I guess it was ok for Juwan to light the fuse that ended up seeing at least 2 of his kids (and possibly one from Wisconsin) throwing real haymakers? Come on man...
Fights happen. In high school, one of my best friends and I got into a knock down drag out fight in the locker room, literally rolling on the floor pummeling each other with punches. 2-3 days later it was forgotten. As adults, we both were in the other's wedding.
We're asking these players and coaches to bring intensity to their craft. When they're not we call them 'soft'. Howard was wrong. Gard was wrong. Krabbenbutt was wrong. The players that threw punches were wrong. But, it was something that happened in the moment. It started with both coaches were defending their team.
Suspensions are warranted, and in Howard's case a long one. But, talk of firing him is blowing this thing out of proportion. Acting like this was some horrific event is blowing it out of proportion. If Howard had punched a player like Woody Hayes did, then we have a different matter. But, he didn't.

Fighting is something that can come from competition. This is way overblown in my mind. It was open-handed, while jumping over 3 people, and did absolutely no damage. Howard looks like a hot-head. Gard looks like someone with an attitude problem. And Krabbenbutt comes across as one of those guys who think they are tough when they are behind a wall of people.
Suspend the three coaches, as well as the players that threw punches and move on.
And, if they want to suspend Davison for being a douche, I'm okay with that.

It is IU basketball and in just 6 weeks there will be no basketball to watch.
I know. But, I've not enjoyed the last few games. And, I'm tired, feel kind of blah, and have a lot of stuff to do around the house. Seeing us lose would just make me feel worse, and I wouldn't get the other stuff done I need to.

This is your place to find solace if you are having a bad day. Also, a place to find kinship from others, like the poor guy in this story.

Good Lord this Howard conversation is still going on?
I'd be more impressed and say Howard deserves to be fired if suplexed Gard on the scorers table. Instead he open handed slapped him like a teenage girl.
@KoB2011, I agree with you and think many are missing your point. Gard escalated by going hands on. I'm one of those don't lay you're hands on me types for any reason.
Juwan tried to blow by him and should have found a way to de-escalate. In the end both are at fault.
How many times do I have to say this?

Do you really think the head basketball coaches contract is covered by all of the same employment rules as a maintenance guy on campus?
If the maintenance guy gets a bonus if the Wolverines make the NCAA tournament, he's probably pissed off right now.
