I still haven't watched the game, but when I do, I'll have some things to watch for when I'm ready to send my follow-up email to the Big Ten on the officiating.

I know win or lose state of the program posts are always popular....or in this case I hope not. I'm feeling a switch with this group. A pissed off we can't keep letting this happen type of switch. Xavier. We thank you. You were booed the last time at Gainbridge by our fans....and in 5 months you've galvanized us. Kid is not Yogi yet....but man another year he is the gas pedal.
I added a 'like' on this post for @Coach Shep. I have to think that's what he would do had he been able to participate in the threads today.

St. Johns currently leading Nova and Virginia Tech currently whipping up on Notre Dame are not good developments. Hopefully, those two games turn around.

Anyone heard something about him being unhappy here? Probably just some idiot on Facebook spouting off but thought I’d ask.
Woodson was probably told to hire him. Regardless of how good of an assistant he is, or could be, head coaches to need make their own decisions on assistants.
That said, I hope it's just a stupid rumor. Having Fife as a key member of our program can be nothing but good for the Hoosiers.

If Illinois curb-stomps us tomorrow (15+ point loss), I think we are on the outside looking in.
Also, there are still plenty of bid stealers out there that are currently sitting right behind us in the bubble rankings.

Didn’t they win their conference tournament that year?
No. They were at large, but got in on the strength of the toughest schedule in the country. 'Nova got an at-large once at 16-14 as well. Here is a link.

Or Wake Forest. ACC was way down this year
Wake Forest has 23 wins and actually has a higher KenPom than us. The ACC may be down from an elite team standpoint behind Duke, but don't be surprised if they show better in the tournament than the Big Ten.
Xavier, however, is just absurd. I can find 6-8 teams that deserve to be in ahead of Xavier.

Unless there's a record number of bid stealers, I like our chances regardless of tomorrow.
From Lunardi's most recent tweet, he moved IU up to the last team in, and UM down to the last "bye" team. He still has Wake Forest and Xavier in front of IU, but I don't see how the actual committee seeds any of those teams ahead of IU now.
As of yesterday, IU was 43 in the NET, Wake was 44, Xavier was 40, and UM was 31. I don't see how the committee justifies any of them ahead of IU at this point; All three lost their opening round game, and IU just beat UM head-to-head.
Furthermore, our NET will likely go up this evening, and it will also likely go up after we play Illinois, win or lose.
That's just idiotic to have Xavier still ranked ahead of us. Wake, you can make the argument they have a better overall record. Michigan, you can make an argument that they beat us easily in Bloomington earlier in the season.
Xavier though? There is absolutely nothing there that is in their favor. Nothing. Except maybe non-conference SOS. In KenPom, we are 43 and Xavier is 59.

Worst record to ever get an at large bid is 18-14. MI is 17-14
Georgia was 16-14 one year and got in. And, that was with 64 teams, not 68.

I am surprised that you were so wrapped up in the IU game that you haven’t even mentioned the blowout win by Montana State 😛
They are primed for a deep run coming off a great regular season. Dare I say Sweet 16?

I don't see how you justify UM in but not IU at this point.
Season series is tied 1-1. They have a higher NET and more quality wins.
We're still in a position where we better hope there are no bid stealers out there.

Dude... YouTube.
I'm sure Matthew Loves Ball will post his 20-25min shortened game, as well.
Just watched your highlight video. Thought for sure we were going to lose.

7 pages deep and no sign of Coach Shep. Maybe not an idiot after all.
He"ll be back as soon as we lose and/or XJ has a bad game.

Even Purdue?
If they end up playing someone like Penn State or Maryland, then yes.

Other than when IU is playing, it's time to root for the higher seed in every single conference tournament game.

X did have 3 turnovers in 27 minutes. He probably shouldn't play tomorrow.
Chuck Franz only had 8 the entire 80-81 seadon.

I, for one, am ashamed at all of you guys that were so pessimistic the first 30 minutes of the game.
I felt like I was on an island by myself when it came to positivity.

It was me...I told my wife that if Indiana won she could sleep with Bad Davison and I wouldn't file for divorce.
Ooh. Does that mean Tyra Buss is available,?

Holy SHIT!
I had to get some work done, so I put my phone down when it was 60-50 around the nine and a half minute mark.
I checked it 15-20 minutes later and we are up 67-64 with about 3 and a half.
I thought to myself....Hell, if all it takes for them to play well is for me to actually work when I'm gettin paid to, I'll put the phone down again.
Pick it up 10 minutes later and we are up 3 with 9 seconds left.
Bad news I'm so amped now, there is no way I can focus on anything work related the rest of the day.

We can stop blaming the Windy City 5 game. This performance knocks us out even if we had won that one.
If a 17-13 UM team is this much better than us.....
We literally did not beat a good team, other than Purdue, all season. Before someone says Ohio State, mark my words they lose opening round of NCAA.

At work and cant watch. Are we even TRYING to play defense?

There is a generation out there that is still trying to decide whether they want to be IU fans , or Purdue fans, or UK fans, or simply say the hell with college basketball and start playing frisbee golf.
IU is losing those potential fans forever today.
