They really should have tailored the halftime show to each of you all's individual needs and preferences.

    Shame on NBC!

It was a great show with all-time great performers that also had a specific connection to the city the game is being played.

    Just enjoy the show.

It was a halftime show in Los Angeles with multiple references to LA, and I’m sitting in Cincinnati and saying I loved it.

It seems that the "old timers" knew things that were inherent to last. They new to save their nuts and bolts and screws in old baby food jars. We are talking about a 16' made up board, that cost $86 that sux to nail down and is not the right color. We have the worst case of first world problems, because our grand/ parents knew what wood to use and to keep their old nuts, bolts and screws in baby food jars.

**This is not a dig on anyone, their projects or their ability, it's honestly more a self reflection on where we were and what we've came from .

I’ve got 2-3 Costco-sized peanut butter jars full of miscellaneous hardware. Unless it’s bent and/or stripped, I keep it.

    Not health related, thankfully

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Right around Chuck Crabb's 70th birthday, he got a not-so-subtle reminder from his wife Madeline, his bride for four-plus decades, that she thought about retirement far more than he did.

"Madeline said to me, 'I know you're not thinking about retirement, but I sure am,' '' said Crabb, the public address announcer for Indiana basketball game at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall for the past 45 years who announced his retirement on Monday. "She was looking for houses in Southwest Florida, in the Venice/Englewood area, and she came by one not 10 minutes from Manasota Key, which is an area we've always loved, and we bought it last year.

"She's been down there since last year, and I spent June there, a few weekends, some time in December. We love it there. So it's not a health issue for me, or a forced issue. It's just simply time.'

Crabb, who's also been Indiana's Associate Athletic Director for Facilities since 1990 — ''my day job that most people really don't know that I have'' — retired effective immediately. It's all very sudden, but he said that his decision to stop now had a lot to do with the events of last weekend following the death of John Harmon, who worked for Crabb at Assembly Hall for 26 years. Harmon passed away suddenly at age 66.

"It all became crystal clear to me last weekend after John Harmon passed away,'' Crabb said Monday during a lengthy interview. "John was 66 years old and had worked for me for 26 years, and his family asked me to be the master of ceremonies of sorts, an officiant, if you will after he had passed.

"I heard so many people, his family and his dear friends, say all weekend long about how much John was looking forward to retirement, and to spending time with his kids and grandkids. That all really got me thinking. It was hard, but I sat down with (athletics director) Scott Dolson and Steve Harper — Indiana's deputy director of athletics and chief operating officer — and we worked out the details of my retirement. I do have a day job, and I've loved that too for 32 years, so there was a lot to tie up. It's just time. I've been blessed to do a job I loved for 45 years, but it's time to go. We talked about the end of the season, but after last weekend, I just feel like it's the right time to make a clean break.''

    Good for him.

Shame that with all the streaming technology out there that something couldn’t be rigged up for him to at least do the starting lineups remotely…because you know he’ll be watching.

I've seen this comment on twitter and it's so true. Only guy in the world who made sophomore a 3 syllable word. At guard 6'2 soph-a-more from New Castle, Indiana.....or my other favorite and the head coach of your Indiana Hoosiers. Bob Knight. So subtle but beautiful.

My high school football coach said it that way. Never realized until right now that this is where he got it from.

This is silly - is Duke our rival with that standard? I think must of us probably cannot stand little weasel face but they're in no way our rival.

A rival, but in a different sense. They’re also considered a “blue blood” program vs being in conference.

  6. Tier 1: Purdue. You’re on the wrong site if you need a rationale behind this.

Tier 2: UI. Rationale: Sparked by the Eric Gordon situation. Irritating fan base. Proximity. Purdue with different colors and a different ZIP code.

Tier 3: MSU, UW, OSU, UM. No real animosity, just successful teams over the past 15 years make for good, semi-intense matchups.

Tier 4: Iowa, Minnesota, Maryland. Irritating on game days, but I don’t think about them beyond that.

Tier 5: NW, PSU, Nebraska. They’re conference games and not much more.

Tier 6: Rutgers. Oh, right, they’re a “Big 10” team now.

    Kofi will get winded

I'd take TJD and/or Race in a track meet over Kofi any day of the week.  A boxing match....different story.

Race's range could be a key factor.  Hope that trend of improving 3PT shooting continues.

Frazier has averaged 38.2 MPG in the last 4 (including the double OT loss to Purdue) and his 3 point percentage for the last 4 games is south of 30%...and Illinois isn't deep in the backcourt...

The MPG made me think of Yogi, so I had to look his stats up.  His senior year, Yogi averaged 36 MPG in B10 games. Low of 35, high of 41.  Only difference.....he shot 47% from behind the arc.

I hope Coach Woody is telling XJ at practice every day "You're going against the best PG in the Big 10."

And I hope X is hearing two messages in that:

    1) Better have your "A" game ready, young man.

    and

    2) That's right....YOU will be FACING the best PG in the conference.  Can you change some people's minds about that? Here's your opportunity.

…gets to his spots and is like easy athletic…doesn’t look like he is trying to hard but still out playing dudes.

    The definition of "smooth".

Never seems to rush, but never seems to slow down.  And yet can out play 98% of anyone you put in front of him.

Really sad Rams left St Louis to move to LA and have their home playoff games be defecto road games…would have never happened in STL.

There’s going to be more than a few people in STL donning orange and black if the Rams make it. They’re still persona non grata.
