Glad I’m not the only one that thought that. Been around the same time that I was last at Wrigley, but yeah…it was a bit run down. Wasn’t blown away. It was cool because it was Wrigley, but overall….meh.

Or….Matta knew Collier was going to be retiring soon and wanted a “first step” kind of job as an admin. Either way, having Thad Matta on staff for even just a year isn’t a bad thing at all. 

I think it says a lot about the state of IUWBB that losing this game would actually be a slight disappointment. Still a very solid year, but the “just happy to be here” outlook is gone. 

They’re in it. Down 4 at half to one of the two best women’s programs of all time? More than a puncher’s chance.
