I agree. I definitely don't think it means anything negative in regards to whether MM returns or not, but wanted to check the pulse here to make sure I'm not missing something.

I expect MM to get feedback on his pro prospects and return for next season.

He's raw, but it's easy to see there's something there.  And something that'll translate really well to the NBA game.  If he makes as much of a leap as Reneau did from his freshman to sophomore season, MM is an easy lottery pick.

Didn't Limp, Kid Rock and Rob Zombie all become relevant about that time? I was older'ish 25-26 ish, but the younger guys at the fire house got me into listening to them.

I was the Training Captain at the time and I used to use Rob Zombie sound tracks, BLASSSSSSTED (140 dcb level) during live close quarter training exercises to mimic removing the sense of hearing, teaching to focus on other sense, like one would experience in a true fire or rescue situation. I loved the jams, it made rookies curl up in the fetal position. But the stronger ones over came it and lived through the real shit.

Rob doesn't usually get credit for stuff like that. .... hmm I think I know my sound track tonight after I take my Delta 8 anti-stimulant. GOD the good old days where fukcing great.

My outdoor audio setup can be heard from a block away, and you're really tempting me to go crank it all the way up and put on Dragula or Never Gonna Stop. 😂

Limp, Kid Rock, Korn, Orgy, Staind, White Zombie/Rob Zombie, Linkin Park were all in that 97-02 range of rock/NuMetal.  A lot of crossover with hip hop artists that hit it big at the same time: Eminem, DMX, 50 Cent, Ludacris, Outkast.....

A buddy just texted me that he thinks Tucker committing means Mbako is gone. But I don't think that is the case at all, right?

I know it's a different position, but look at JHS.  Yes, he's getting first round money, but he lit up the B10 last year and now he's in the GLeague.  MM had his moments but he wasn't close to the impact JHS was.

Getting Tucker is a good first step, since that'll make 3 top-30 recruits on the roster.  Given that MM is getting paid, land one or two more weapons and coming back to play another season of college ball sounds good to me.

What? They blew that lead!  Thanks for the heads up.  Will turn it back on.

Purdue to me is the most impressive team in the tourney so far and the temperature will rise in the Bloomington administration and nepo baby donor offices as a result.   Pam Whitten may not realize what that will look like.

I’d prefer IU winning of course. But the Purdue cheerleaders staying in a good mood is a hell of a consolation prize.

    Well, for me anyway. :coffee:

"Our university website crashed last night. That's what this does. We also sold $8,000 worth of t-shirts to Louisville last night. Think about that! Honest to God. They buy the t-shirts and they put the credit card and... Louisville, Louisville, Louisville. It wasn't the same person. I don't know, next year when Louisville and Kentucky play, I don't know if everyone is going to show up in their Oakland shirt or what? I have no idea, but it's crazy to think about."

Damn Hatfields and McCoys are at it again.

Not a good day for the Drew family.

I didn’t know until today that Bryce is the son-in-law of Keith Thibodeaux, the actor who played Little Ricky on I Love Lucy.

This has nothing to do with basketball, but I found it interesting nonetheless. Carry on. :coffee:

He makes $9 mill a year. you would think that $33 mill would be easy to come up with.

Regular salary comes out of whatever the budgeted state amount is, meaning it should be accounted for in full over 12 months. Teflon John is a state employee remember.

750K per month when it’s pre-budgeted, not too much of a challenge. 33M lump sum, a little harder but not impossible.

Why does everyone on Purdue have the same unfortunate chin beard? Is it contagious?

Everyone but Ethan Morton, I have no idea.

Morton gets a pass because he’s at least trying to pull off the full scruff Kurt Warner look. And because if he’s clean shaven, he looks 12. 😂

This GIF really is the perfect encapsulation of the Tom Crean era. It gets posted regularly by Purdue and Indiana fans alike for a laugh, and everyone's too focused on his goofy behavior to notice we're up nearly 20 on our rival well before halftime.

Crean was an ok coach. Not great, not terrible. Had his moments and had moments that are forgettable. That said, I think he’s found his calling as a TV analyst. It’s the role he’s best suited for.

Not upset by this… Dusty still has a lot to prove. I hate how we always latch on to guys because they had a big run through the tournament, and especially if they have any ties to Indiana. Dusty could very well go on to have an amazing career at Michigan, but I’m not sure about it. We fell for that with Archie and he was out of his league as soon as he stepped foot in Bloomington. I’m not saying we don’t go young again, but I feel like the next move will be for a seasoned veteran.

Good, I’m not the only one that feels this way. If May wasn’t a student manager under Knight, he’d have had 1/3 the number of posts on this and any other IU board.

If May does well at Michigan, good for him. That doesn’t mean IU lost out, because he is a lot less proven than a lot of people think.

Steve Alford 5 different schools to the NCAA tournament yet we crap on him every chance we get. myself included.  We end up with Archie Miller and Mike woodson.

3 out of those 5 teams never made it past the first weekend, and none of those teams made it past the S16. If we wanted those results, we could have just stuck with Crean.

Says he is going to mix in some seniors and probably older portal guys to even out his young rosters. He said that for years. His problem isn’t youth…it isn’t talent…it isn’t getting kids to buy in and play hard…its simply being outcoached.

This.  Whenever Teflon John had the biggest payroll budget in college basketball, he got by on a talent gap.  That gap is a lot smaller now.

    Adolf's daughter?

Believe it or not, Adolf does have some living relatives.  His nephew, William Patrick was born in Liverpool and emigrated to the US after WW2.  As you'd expect, he changed his last name to "Stuart-Houston".  Three of his children are still alive, although they range between 60 and 75 years old and have no children.

No talented kids truly put IU on their list.

Let's see.....in last year's draft, we had one first round pick that was the B10 freshman of the year, and a consensus AA that's looking like a grand larceny level steal in the 2nd round.  Two McDAA's on the roster this year along with another top 25 5*.

But nope...no real talent here at all.

Not half bad for a program that's "irrelevant". 🙄
