had him 4 years, never made a sweet 16

If you’re wanting to add that to the “let’s pile on Woodson” bonfire, keep in mind, Woodson was the reason we had two more seasons with TJD. He was on the fence about going pro until his stepdad had a 10 minute meeting with Woodson, came out and said “You’re staying”.

A different coach and Trayce maybe goes pro and we don’t have him at all.

Hey, I know what it's like... Wife and her whole family are Cardinal fans and I'm a Cubs guy...

I remember being at a World Series clincher party with her extended family for game 6 of the 1985 series against the Royals... After Denkinger blew the call, the sorrow and sympathy I feigned that night made Robert DeNiro in "Raging Bull" look like a flippin' amateur...

See, that’s where my situation makes me more conflicted. If she were just a fan/alum, my loyalty to IU wouldn’t waver. Any year in the future, same deal. But for anyone that’s involved/connected to a D1 basketball program, who wouldn’t want to experience a Final Four their senior year? That’s literally a once in a lifetime experience.

This list every year always interests me.  It may be my imagination, but it seems like the number of 40+ names is much smaller than what it was when I was growing up.  Where are the likes of Nolan Ryan, Carlton Fisk, Phil Niekro, and Julio Franco?  Those guys played until their mid-40's and beyond.

    1) J. Verlander - 41

    2) J. Votto - 40

    3) C. Morton - 40

    4) M. Scherzer - 39

    5) J. Turner - 39

    6) D. Robertson - 38

    7) D. Bard - 38

    8.) A. Ottavino - 38

    9) M. Carpenter - 38

    10) C. Santana - 37

Franco and Jamie Moyer almost hit 50.

I have always wanted this and by staying with CMFW one more year made a huge leap towards it. It wouldn't have happened had he not. I think he is Just now coing into his GAM mind set game.

I don't think he'll ever have 3 range, but???? Maybe he doesn't need it. OH, and EFF Draymond. (rules are off for 2 hours)... He's a bitch.

I don't think he'll ever be confused for Klay or Steph, but even if he can take and make the occasional 3, it'd make him that much more effective down low.  Plants that little seed of possibility in the defender's head.

With the composition of our team currently

That's also something to think about.  Counting Tucker, we currently have 7 scholarship players.  One is on the fence about the NBA (MM) and one hasn't seen a college court yet and is still a medical question mark (Newton).  Right now, if a kid has some high-major talent and wants to be here.....come on down.  We just need some talent period, regardless of position.  If we get down to one or two scholarships, then we can start getting picky.

The box score from last night he had 14 rebounds and Shot a 3!!!

He's going to be the hidden gem from that draft, and a great example of staying that one extra year.  If he didn't come back as a senior, he wouldn't have had the ball handling skills he does now, and wouldn't have had that little bit of an edge he plays with.

I still want to see him channel his dad and go full on 1998-power-forward for just a game or two though.  😂

I'll also add, I don't think that Trace would have his starting mind set at Golden state, if he had not came back for his last year.

I hate the damned Warriors but I even said he couldn't have landed in a better spot.  He doesn't have Dray's range (yet?) but plays a LOT like him on the defensive end and in the paint.  Oh, and he's not Rodman-on-a-coke-bender attitude wise either.
