Doubt it will happen. Purdue is penciled in to win it all. Reminds me of the Virgina championship a few years back, where they lost in the 1st round the previous year as a 1 seed. Let's not forget their last 3 games where they had multiple shots at 3's in the last few seconds to win each game. Of course, it was all rigged.

So if Purdue loses to NC State I'm assuming they would be only team in history of tournament to lose to 4 straight double digit seeds?
Depends on what record you're considering: Losing in 4 straight tournaments to a double digit seed or losing 4 consecutive tournament games against double digit seeds, because the first round this year broke that streak.

Well above average. Somewhere between my ex-wife and Denise Richards.

Caitlin Clark is an awesome player no doubt. But did anyone notice her box score? Yes she scored 41 points but she had to take 29 shots to do it!!
Hey, when you've got a weapon like that, use it. And it's not as if she was the only scorer. She also had 12 assists and Iowa had two other scorers in double figures.

So we keep in line with the thread topic. I like gardening. I hope I have Powerball numbers that hit. I also buy thin mints or peanut butter cookies from girl scouts....additionally I'm an 80 or so golfer and today I saved .50cents a gallon on gas with my Kroger card.
Thanks again to those posters who can't keep their stuff in the appropriate threads. I've now joined your tribe since it's not being managed.
Someone say something about thread hijackings?

“He put the entire country of France on his back…” I could listen to that on repeat all day 😂
Julius Caesar
William The Conqueror
Napolean
Vince Carter
Trayce Jackson-Davis
What do they all have in common? They’ve all pimp-slapped France at one point or another.

She’s going to bring some fans to Fever games that’s for sure. And I thought I heard she’s dating the oldest McCaffrey too?
The oldest McCaffery. As in Fran’s son, not Ed’s. Never noticed the slight difference in spelling until now.

Man...Vontae Davis dead at age 35. Never understood his sudden departure from the league. So young.
RIP...a B10 and a Colts alum. Peace to Vernon and the rest of his family.
The comment he gave about his retirement was that his abrupt retirement was due to an abrupt realization that football was no longer what he was meant to be doing, and that "leaving was therapeutic".
He was entering his 10th season and maybe he just realized his body couldn't take it anymore. It's a rough game.

If they win it all this year (gag), he'll be in good company. Pitino 14 years, Self 15, Coach K 16, Roy Williams 17, Wooden 18, Cal 20, Dean Smith 21, Tark 22, Jay Wright 22, Calhoun 27.
Forgot Boeheim at 27 also.

Judge yourself however you wish, but I was just catching up on this thread and I was itching to get caught up so I could post this exact same thing.
Some people are cool when they find out they think like me. Most, however, are horrified.
Oh don't worry, I've been told for years that I'm well beyond the capabilities of psychiatric medicine.

I don't mind the end zone being painted, but i think the main playing surface should be the same across all schools. I personally don't like basketball courts being super busy and distracting. But that's just me.
But who gets to define busy?
I've seen the classic MECCA floor called "busy", and that's from the 1970s.
And even then, there's never been a consistent defined pattern for courts. Do you leave the lane open and just defined or paint it in? I've seen "traditional" courts use both. Same for the free throw circle. Same color as the lane? Split in half at the free throw line? Complete contrasting circle?
I'm sure I'll have voodoo dolls made in my likeness with pins in them over saying this, but I've never really liked IU's court design. It's the "white toast, no butter" of courts. Would anyone get their knickers in a knot if the paint were...oh...I don't know....maybe painted? Just a little bit of red to break it up.
Or if that's just too wild and out there, do either the lane or the area inside the three point line except the lane in a slightly contrasting wood stain.
I'm not saying we need to go full Oregon and do the outline of a Sarlacc on the court, but just something a little different but still in a "traditional" design.

Staying overnight in Louisville in a couple weeks at the Brown Hotel so we can arrive, eat there in the beautiful hotel and not have to leave until the morning. Have never been to the Brown Hotel but it looks gorgeous and a destination in itself.
We return to our normal programming, Dusty May bball 🤣. Carry on!
Get the bourbon fries as well. Thank me later.

You're desiring a 3-way with Edey and Caitlin Clark?
That’s no different than the 3-way you tried to set up with Tyra Buss and that Vietnamese midget. Was that restraining order 2 or 3?

We need to start recruiting more 3 and 4 year guys going forward. Build a team, a program, a culture.
Stop chasing 5 star one and done players. If one wants to come fine.
In today's game, just because you recruit and sign a "4 year player" doesn't mean you're going to have him for all 4 of those years.

This whole “who is the premier program” sounds just like all the “Who is the GOAT” debates that seem to be all the rage these days.
When it comes down to it, it’s generally a matter of personal opinion and what era you’re talking about. What would Wilt have done in the 90s? What would MJ have done in the 2010s? What would Curry have done in the 70s? There’s no definitive answer and there never will be. It all just degrades into name calling and mindless bickering back and forth.
Rant over. As you were.
