You'd have to have an SLR and manually adjust the settings, I believe.  Any camera that auto-focuses will compensate for the light levels and it'll just look normal.  Surreal is a good way to put it.

It's an odd, almost eerie kind of darkness.  Almost looks like you're looking at the world through a sepia filter.  And I noticed about a 5 degree temperature change when it passed through almost-totality.

You need to download an app called SolarSnap, then use some kind of lens over the top of your camera lens.  The normal eclipse glasses will work.  Or I used a #11 welding goggles lens.
