If IU doesn’t find a real difference maker in the portal then I think they need to find a guy that’s got a track record of being a decent shooter that’s got some length who has 1 year left. That way they’ve got some proven shooting they can play off the bench that might be a safer option if guys like Gunn, Newton, and Leal aren’t capable of filling that role better.

IU's had kid's that've been "verbal commits" on visits that didn't end up officially committing to IU. Sometimes kids say things that make coaches think they will come to their school and then they don't.

Sometimes kids say things on visits that make coaching staffs think they may land a kid. Then that kid takes another visit and changes their mind or at least starts to second guess their original thought process. This has happened many times and could very well be what happened with MM and why KU fans have been so confident with no new information to go on. It could go either way today when it's all said and done.

There's no basketball logic to think they are connected.

The head of basketball at rivals thinks it’s Kansas but has said he has no info. These guys at rivals are tossing out guesses using their gut feeling.

Nobody knows anything about. Kansas doesn't. The Rival guys don't. IU doesn't. Nobody really knows anything about this recruitment except bits and pieces coming from IU and KU.

The thing with Kansas fans right now is that there isn't anything real that's come out. Slater is the only guy to listen to and yet they are believing some clown who's wrong about stuff all the time and wanted to fight a Kansas State assistant recently. He could of course choose Kansas but these Kansas fans are being arrogant when there is no real evidence to support their arrogance.

They've kept things quiet and stuck to the main schools they said from the start. I highly doubt this will change.
