The Pacers have needed a 4 that can defend and rebound for several years. They got that in Walker. Walker makes plays that help teams win.

I get that but to me you take the guy that has a higher upside rather than drafting for need. The Pacers aren’t a title contender that only has one whole.

To me when I watch Taylor Hendricks I see Paul George. That’s who the Pacers should pick imo. Walker is a solid defender and can play the 4 but athletic wings win and the Pacers haven’t had a real good one since PG left.

Anyone who thinks the Pacers have done a bad job in the last 2-3 years reshaping the roster is just wrong. I’m sorry but you are. They’ve made good moves and made pretty good picks. They still need to make some upgrades but they’re getting closer. Let’s see what they do over the next few weeks between the draft and free agency.

The Pacers made the trade to acquire 4.3 million dollars. They acquired some cash in another deal last year as well. They can only use that money in trades so this could be a precursor to another move involving a veteran.

I don’t look at the Pacers current roster and think it will keep them from selecting any position except maybe a PG. I also don’t think they’re done making moves so I could see one of the bigs possibly getting dealt in a deal.

I’d still take him. He increases the potential of the team by a pretty large amount with his ability to hit shots and score on the perimeter. That said I don’t think he’s going anywhere.

He has really good stuff but locating them has been a problem. I don’t mind him being the last guy in the pen until some other guys get back from the IL. That way he can work with the Reds coaches and hopefully fix some of the strike throwing issues.

If he ends up at Duke it will be his own decision.

People assumed Cincy would be a shoe in because of Adams. That wasn’t the case as much as many made it out to be. Partially because of who is really involved in the decision making process and who isn’t.

Yep and Flory doesn’t have “basketball people” healing him with his recruitment so he’s making a decision purely on what the people really close to him and himself think. That’s why this recruitment has been much different compared to other high profile recruitments.

You can believe whatever you chose. I just know what the situation is so that’s why I shared it. I also know that Fland for example wouldn’t be scared off by Mustaf either because Mustaf a true combo guard. Fland is listed as that but he’s really only ever played point guard. They could play together so that’s not a real concern for the staff in those recruitments.

Flory wants to play at Duke. If his visit goes well it’s almost certain he’ll commit to Duke

IU would 1000% take him if he wanted to commit right now. You don’t give conditional offers to top 30 players.

Banking a scholarship isn’t smart. Find a grad transfer that provides depth at a minimum at some position but don’t role with 12 guys.
