  1. Brown can’t be traded until they reach a certain point during the season.
  2. Well Duarte will be gone. King is going to play overseas. Wong will be a 2 way emergency guard. McConnell, Haliburton, and Nembhard are PG’s. Heild, Neismith, Mathurin, and Brown are the only wings that will be on the roster. I’m also guessing they aren’t finished with the roster yet either.
  3. Well with Bell nobody is ever really on the bench. Votto would still face RHP’s the way Bell does his lineups
  4. Votto will continue to play no matter what. He’ll have games he looks awesome and games he looks bad. That’s the reality of where he’s at in his career
  5. I disagree. I think relievers are usually better in one inning spurts. So many get hot go into the game and then if the get out of the inning and sit in the dugout their adrenaline stops pumping and they don’t have the same stuff after that. Most of the guys the Reds have are better off going 1 inning at a time and that’s why the bullpen has been better this year imo because in the past Bell wanted guys throwing multiple innings at a time and the pen was AWFUL
  6. It takes 2 teams to make a deal. Maybe a team will make a deal a week or 2 early but that’s the earliest something is likely to happen.
  7. Yep and the deadline isn’t until August 1st so the Reds will have to role with what they’ve got for at least the next 3-4 weeks or so.
  8. Anyone that’s a major prospect or a major contributor on the MLB roster should be retained until this offseason. I don’t want to see Krall deviate from his plan early to trade for a pitching when I think they can add one without doing that. They’ll also start getting guys back from injury as well over the next month or so.
  9. Sorry but India shouldn’t be a trade candidate this year. The Reds shouldn’t be trading any major pieces.
  10. Sure Votto could be a piece moving forward but I’m not sure if he’ll continue at the pace he’s been on. We will see what happens but he could definitely be an option if he keeps hitting.
  11. It sounds like Connor Phillips is moving to AAA as well.
  12. He pretty much already is and he’ll play 1B, LF, and DH some once everyone is in the majors.
  13. I honestly don’t care if guys look comfortable in the outfield or not. They’ll get better as they play it more. I also don’t think Senzel is a long term piece. India is the guy that I’m not sure about. CES will likely be the first baseman. Ideally it looks something like this 1st CES 2nd McClain SS ECLC 3rd Marte OF Friedl, Benson, Fraley, Steer, and another right handed bat would be the OF DH India C Stephenson The infielders, Steer, and India can all move around depending on off days or injuries which helps to keep bats in the lineup. They can make it work.
  14. Stoudt is a reliever whose pitches play better in short spurts. Which is why he was good for 2 innings today. I’m starting to think the same thing for Ashcraft as well. The starting pitching is the problem. Although I think another lefty is needed in the pen I think they’ve got bullpen options internally that can help. As for the rotation that needs to get figured out and unfortunately I’m not sure it will until closer to August.
  15. Some names I could see the Reds potentially targeting include Lance Lynn, Dylan Cease, Lucas Giolitto, Aroldis Chapman, Zack Grienke, Sonny Gray among a few others. I could also see them taking a flyer by signing Cueto to a minor league deal if he gets DFA’ed by the Marlins to see if he could regain his form from last year.
  16. They also have guys in AA and high A that are solid prospects but are blocked like Jose Torres, Ivan Johnson, and Tyler Callihan. Guys like this are some that I could see being used to land a starter. I don’t see the Reds moving Newman, Fairchild, or Hopkins. Senzel and Barrero I could see happening in the right deal.
  17. I highly doubt any of their top tier prospects will be traded. I see them trying to target a SP or 2 and a left handed reliever if they can find one.
  18. You people are writing off Haliburton way too easily. He was one of only 3 players in the NBA to average at least 20 ppg and 10 apg. The other 2 were young and Harden. He’s better through 3 years than Curry was and he shoots the 3 off the dribble at a level that is only matched by Curry himself. I’m not saying he’ll be a superstar but he could very well be the 2nd best player on a really good team if he keeps progressing the way he has to this point in his career.
  19. People just want to complain. It’s that simple
  20. He was asked a question and gave an honest answer about the situation.
  21. Chad Buchanan just said that TJD and his representation didn’t want the Pacers to pick him due to their roster. The Pacers loved TJD but it wasn’t a good fit with 4 centers already on the roster. You can all stop blaming the Pacers for not picking him now.
  22. The 3 year deal and guaranteed roster spot isn’t normal for players taken that late. The Pacers would’ve only given him. 2 way deal because the already have Turner, Jackson, Smith, and Theis at the 5 spot on the 15 man roster. Golden State is a great situation based on roster construction and nothing more.
  23. He wouldn’t get much if any playing time. The Pacers knew people would complain if that happened similar to what the media and fans did with Grace Berger so he was better off going someplace else.
  24. I’m not worried about it. He’s not that undersized considering there are plenty of guys similar to his size that play the position just fine. Collins and Randle are similar in size just to name a couple.
