  1. I’m not sure about K’s looking but they are 13 out of 15 teams in the NL in overall strikeouts.
  2. The Reds will also be activating Jake Fraley from the IL tomorrow however he is currently limited to the DH role at the moment but they do t need him in the OF with their new found quality OF depth.
  3. Ballard is hoping to get JT back on board. He wants to salvage things and the Colts aren’t against paying him eventually but they also want to see how things look with Richardson and the new coaching staff before they lock him up. He also want an unrealistic amount of money that no team will pay him so that’s a problem as well.
  4. I fully expect Sorsby to be the starter with Tayven getting playing time as well.
  5. I actually think it is going to be Sorsby to start. I feel like Allen was very high on him and his arm talent last week on the radio.
  6. Also Chris Ballard is going to have to do some serious waiver claiming on th OL. The Colts depth there is awful at the moment after losing Pinter for the season.
  7. JT and his agent have handled things very poorly. He has had an unrealistic number all along and the Colts had no intentions on signing him long term until next year. JT would be better off if he had a real agent instead of the clown he’s got.
  8. So would I with Hulls being on staff but it’s not a lock because ND is a real threat.
  9. I’m not sure how things will play out but I do believe everything starts with McNeeley.
  10. 1. McNeeley 2. Fland 3. Queen I’m not sure what percentages I’d put on them but with McNeeley IU is the clear favorite to land him.
  11. IU is doing well on the recruiting from for several players. That said until guys start committing I’m not going to get too excited although there is a lot of positive momentum.
  12. I knew that he was about to get the ND offer about 3 weeks ago. He’s got at least 1 other offer that will likely be coming here soon as well. I’d like to see IU make a legit run at him.
  13. He’s visiting UCF. I’m guessing there’s some $$$ behind this move similar to when Sellers left Ball State earlier in the off-season.
  14. I don’t think 1 injury makes him injury prone.
  15. It hasn’t been decided yet. He could be redshirted but they’ve still got time to figure out whether that will be necessary.
  16. Not exactly. When he got to IU the IU medical team evaluated him and decided he needed to slow things down and rehab differently because he was still having some issues. They want to make sure he’s healthy when he does finally return to action. That’s why IU is looking to find another guard if possible.
  17. It’s also his first visit that he’s taking which could be good or bad depending on how you look at things.
  18. The Reds are calling up Christian Encarnacion-Strand from AAA for their series starting tomorrow against Giants
  19. The Reds cooled off at a bad time. That said they also need to put their best players on the 26 man roster and stop having a couple guys that are just taking up space.
  20. That’ll be the biggest need moving forward. Hopefully at the deadline but it definitely needs to be addressed this offseason.
  21. It’s possible they could look to do that however they will soon have a log jam of young pitchers vying for the rotation. Some will move to the pen but unless those guys fetch a superstar I’m not sure that’s the route they’ll go. Greene, Lodollo, Abbott, Ashcraft, Williamson, and Phillips could all be in the rotation by August. Then they’ve got several more arms between high A and AAA that aren’t that far away. They also just drafted several college arms as well. Lowder for example could potentially be ready by sometime next year. The pitching might not be the need everyone thinks in the near future.
  22. Stephenson’s ERA: 5.13, 0 errors, and 2 pass balls Maile’s ERA: 4.97, 3 errors, and 2 pass balls Casali’s ERA: 4.38, 2 errors, and 1 pass ball One thing to keep in mind is that a lot of the ERA could be affected by what pitchers they’re catching. For example Maile has caught all of Abbott’s games for example.
  23. I wouldn’t mind Snell if the Reds took on most of his contract in order to limit the prospect return. I don’t want them selling primary pieces for a rental.
  24. Pulling Williamson was the right decision in todays game. He was pitching well but he was going to see the heart of their order a 3rd time and he’s a young pitcher that they wanted to have come out of the game while still having a successful start. Now the bullpen has been used a lot but that’s just the reality of the Reds bad/injured starting pitchers. Farmer has been pretty good but he’s wearing down. So are some of the other relievers. Unfortunately they just need to survive until the all star break at this point. Not every decision is a bad one by Bell. It’s just the reality of the situation.
