I haven’t heard much other than he’s scheduled some visits. I think the biggest thing for a guy like him is getting the QB position 100% figured out.

I do think there was some talent and some has stayed, some has left, and some the staff is still trying to get back. I mostly was talking about the guys that went to the portal that Cignetti and company wasn’t trying to get back.

There are guys that Cig would like back but there’s also the majority that he’s fine with leaving. Mostly because this wasn’t a good football team that IU had last year. Getting Smith back was HUGE!!!

Good or bad for who? If you're talking IU then it's a good thing because he plays for Indiana Elite. If you're referring to Purdue then well the reality is he's not going to Purdue.

I still view ND as the leader with Mullins. I've heard they are view ND as the best fit for him currently.

It is unlikely that McCloud will be the IU transfer QB. So you can go ahead and connect the dots.

The staff knew there was a chance Newton would be out. That’s a fact. Also adding a grad transfer or someone from the portal wouldn’t have led to anyone transferring. This team didn’t have enough guard depth for that to happen. I’m not saying they should’ve landed a starter or anything but a solid guard. Plenty of teams have guys like that they picked up that are coming off their bench.

I fully expect IU to land McCloud or Rourke as their transfer QB to start next year. Then land one of Cherry or Mendoza as the freshman QB for this cycle. I prefer Cherry but I’d be fine with Mendoza too.

Maybe he was. I hadn’t paid too much attention to things the last few days so I missed that. They also could’ve gotten non QB commits too considering they had several other visits this weekend.

The only QB visits I knew were scheduled included Cherry, Mendoza, and Rourke. There really hasn’t been any news or anything for that matter on McCloud.

There hasn’t been really any news about him. I’m guessing it has to do with the fact that he isn’t 100% a grad transfer plus Rourke is better not talented option.
