Dolson has a plan. We just need to be patient because there won’t be real news coming out daily over the next couple weeks and there will be plenty of rumors.

I think he's a long shot even if he did want the job because of his buyout. I don't see IU paying out that kind of money.

FWIW I've also heard Cronin hasn't been connected to IU. There's a lot of stuff swirling right now but there seem to be 2 constants. Pearl and May.

I'm not getting into the whole right or wrong stuff from years ago. If IU approves making a hire of a good coach I'm going to be on board with it until they give me a reason not to.

The stuff Pearl did is now legal. Why would you hold that against somebody. It's not like we are talking about a Beard situation and please don't compare to Sampson either because he wasn't really fired over texts.

While I agree to an extent he would still be the best coach IU has had in at least 20 years.

This is correct. He would be the top target contrary to what Eric was saying in the Peegs chat last night. Bruce has always wanted the IU job and that's part of why he's kept so many of his Indiana connections.

Trilly just said the Galloway rumor is false so there’s mixed messages on that going around apparently which isn’t surprising given the situation

Woodson has lost the team and at least 5 players that could return will be entering the portal if nothing changes

Don’t count on those two coming back if things stay the same

I haven't heard Oats mentioned at all and I highly doubt he'd leave Alabama until UK eventually comes calling.

Oh I know they aren't the driving factor. Dolson is the driving factor this time but he has to have the funds and support to make sure everything lines up.

The big boosters had a get together to raise money and discuss some things. Woodson and the basketball program was a topic of discussion. Cuban was in town for the Pacers and Mavs game so it was a good time to get people together.

It’s sounding like a some of the big boosters are interested in having the conversation about moving on from Woodson at the end of the season. Dolson has a good pulse of what’s going on and what coaches are interested.

He knows there’s problems. He also knows there’s several players discussing transferring which means Woodson would possibly need to build an entire roster from the portal.

You don’t have to buy it. TV money can’t buy everything and there’s other expenses to be covered other than salaries and buyouts.

Let me say this. It’s not Scott. It sounds like the big money boosters need some more persuading. Luckily there’s still more losses to be had.

As someone that has seen this attempted at the HS level I don't believe it would work for all kinds of reasons.
