Exactly. I used to get so frustrated with Rob P for the same reason. The example you used is just one of many I noticed yesterday. Indiana and it’s inconsistency while Trace is here is more about the pieces that have been placed around him. I don’t get folks that think IU would have or could be better without Trace. He can only do so much and his overall numbers say a lot about his ability and effectiveness.

He’s pretty much spot on though. The last 4 years, opposing teams only had to double down on Trace. Maybe even piss off the IU guards early with some cheap shot fouls and take their head out of the game. Force IU build a brick wall with their terrible shooting. Rebound, rebound, rebound. Defense has to lead to offense. Trace has to be on point with his bunnies and some shots dropping in from someone would be helpful to have a chance at leaving Allen field house with a dub. Fight, scratch and claw if you want it as this one won’t be easy. Hopefully Jalen can play. Go Hoosiers!

If IU had shooters then Trace wouldn’t have to put up so many points. He is effective in so many other ways than scoring though. Btw, keep the northern trash out of this thread. There is a general college basketball (non IU) thread and a B1G thread to slap hands and atta boy with your favorite ‘other’ fan board trolls. IU folks don’t show up to this IU board to read bs about them in every thread. It’s getting ridiculously annoying.
