Have to record that game tomorrow. Headed out of town again early in the AM. Lady Hoosiers got this though -

The Miami coach is right. These games come down to one or two possessions. I hope we treat each possession as such tonight. -

@Stlboiler23 will you be cheering on IU tonight? Since Purdue is done and your wife is an IU fan, I don’t think it would be considered cheating. -

Yeah I had them losing to Florida Atlantic in round two. It just seems like the cards couldn’t have been any better for them. But, Purdue owns the one and done in the tourney. -

Not to jinx us but sheesh. At a number one seed, it doesn’t get any easier. Purdue had a clear path to the final four and probably the easiest path they will have for the next 10 years. -

With the FD tallest player being 6’6 how do you not inbound it high to Edey under the basket. FD is hoping at the moment that Edey doesn’t get the ball. -

The fact that Houston beat Kent St 49-44 while shooting 32% from the field says IU can beat the dog snot outa both of them. -

Purdue takes the L in their second game vs Dusty May and Florida Atlantic. Book it

Who is “he”? I’ve not once named anyone. I was responding to the board as a whole in reference to the floated speculation that we win this game or that game with X. Never did I mention Woodson. Of course health matters in sports lol. I don’t think anyone is debating the effect of injuries. I see a bench full of players capable of providing a breather and meaningful minutes. I guess it’s “dumb” to counter conjecture with the other side of conjecture.

My point is that X’s absence isn’t the reason we lose basketball games. Which is what gets thrown around after every loss. Win with what you have and stop finding every excuse to pass blame. We have five on the floor that have dominated at a high level and that have randomly struggled. Folks act like we are playing with 4 players. X could have very well been that third piece the help pick up the slack. Or not as we also seen in the large sample size we can reference. The whole team minus Trace simply has to improve and there is no savior on the bench.

Interesting stat isn’t it? TJD being an all american proved his worth in the remarkable individual stats he leaves behind. In my opinion, aside from the coaching carousel during his time at IU, he hasn’t had much real talent around him to win basketball games at a level complimentary to his individual contributions. Which, align with most IU fan expectations. When Jalen and Malik showed up, the difference in raw talent and ability was black and white in comparison. Speaking generally, folks could see the contrast in new vs old recruited talent. And with that, it’s past my bedtime.
-
Vs Maryland also. Malik is really good. I think once he is allowed to play extended minutes he will develop quickly.
-
Yep I don’t disagree with that
-
Someone with more time could break it down in detail. Just a general overall stat vs B1G teams only. It does include both tournaments. To be clear, Im not saying he wouldn’t have been a helpful addition here and there but I’m also not going to claim all losses are because he is unavailable. IU didn’t exactly win at a high clip with him. I would have liked to have him and Jalen together vs not and can certainly see areas where he theoretically could have had an effect on opposing players defensively.
-
Interestingly for the we would have won with X crowd… since his arrival, IU is 12-13 vs B1G teams with Xavier Johnson prior to his injury. 12-8 without him.

Play 40 minutes like it’s your last game instead of the last 2:30
-
Let’s not pass the ball to Trace for 3 offensive possessions. Good plan
-
I feel like Malik gives us the best chance at boards

He had time to respond to an email. Unbelievable
