thanks Mr. Obvious! i understand 2 starters being out could cost any team the game. just saying i still think we could have been fine. the inconsistent play of X and the fact that Stewart pretty much only contributes with 3 point shots set up by someone else can be replaced in a given game if others step up. doesn't matter though. sounds like all are dressed.

Go RP, Leal, Kopp, Race, TJD. Galloway instead of Leal? Fine. Either way play those 6 and Geronimo heavy minutes. Play Bates and Durr limited minutes. Play Lander when absolutely necessary. That's plenty.

i know this won't be popular, but... i don't think it's all that big of a deal to give Rob, Leal, Galloway, and even Lander more time instead of X and Stewart.

i was so big on Bates! not that i don't think he'll still be good, but dang. funny little nitpicking thing - i thought i noticed you not calling Woodson Woody. for whatever reason i just don't like calling him Woody. i think it's the old school Knight fan in me. no big deal, but i agree with you more times than not and thought i noticed you not calling him that. others who i respect MUCH MUCH less call him that consistently and i think nothing of it.

happy with the last 2 games. gotta remember who today was against, but none the less, we have an opportunity the next 2 games. Iowa has actually looked pretty decent against pretty good teams though. not an easy one at Iowa, but we need to win some on the road. would be big to win 1 on the road. 2 would be HUGE going into the Purdouche game. then again, lose to Iowa and Neb back to back and we'll all be screaming again.

any IU team should look pretty good playing unranked EMU, NIU, St. John's, ULL, Jackson St., Syracuse, and Neb

honestly don't think they would have looked much different in the 1st 7 games.

yeah. i get that. i actually don't talk about his D specifically though. i just don't see the energy part standing out. not dogging his effort. i just don't see him as an "energy guy." i'm not really down on him, but i think his ballhandling and passing are subpar and defense is okay. if we're not getting him shots, the only benefit is making them defend him and not sag in the lane.

i agree that many are too high or too low after one game, but then again, when you have guys that are pretty close to the same level (and i think we do other than Race and TJD) maybe base each day a little more heavily and change a guy here and there playing time/role wise.

i'd like to see us run more plays for him coming off screens. if not, it's barely worth having him on the floor. same with Leal, but he doesn't really get on the floor anymore.
