isn't that kind of what message boards are? clearly none of us can control any of this. it's just a bunch of opinions.

it was nice to get bored due to a lopsided victory! i must admit due to the late start and feeling confident that i fell asleep about halfway through the second half. nice for a change! i'm just very impatiently waiting to hear an update on Rob and in a different way Durr. i am a believer that we don't need to be 10 deep, but those particular positions are tough to not have back-ups. i would be somewhat happy to see Lander thrust into the backup PG position to get him ready for a role next season, but i am not feeling good that he is medically able? i think Durr has played his role well, but i guess the result of him being in the doghouse could be a few minutes for Duncomb? i like that, but at the same time hope it isn't much! a win at MD would be huge, but as always, i am not optimistic! happy with 6th in the B1G right now, but man the next 6 in a row are all going to be very tough!

hey admittedly i am a guarded, pessimistic sports fan. i am a Cubs fan if that tells you anything. sure, we could do better than my 4-7 or 5-6 prediction. i'm just thinking of what games we will likely be favored in and how many road games we have. like i said, it's tough to win at MN. NW is solid. will be tough to win there. i'd like to hope we'll get the win at MD, but not counting on that. i really expect to lose all of the other road games. that leaves home against PSU, 24 Illinois, 11 Wisconsin, MD, and Rutgers. i just think it is likely we don't win all 5 of those. again, i hope i'm wrong.

hey. that's cool. i'm not saying he won't. i just think it is tough when he shoots 11% from there. seems like it won't put many points on the board. JMO.

hey. i try not to engage with you, but my only point is how many road games we have and how many good teams we play. i'm not calling it a collapse, but i'd be curious which 5 or 6 games you predict we'll win from here. and BTW - i hope you are right!

that would be great! however since he shoots 11% out there, i don't want him to just keep shooting them until he makes one. that doesn't seem like a good plan. keep practicing them all you want in practice and on your own time big man!

absolutely agree and while i am not a huge Kopp fan, it can't be underestimated how much having the 2 of them in opens up the others. huge at any level. my son's team is #1 in the state and now ranked 34 in the nation by 1 services and 39 by another. they aren't big or athletic. pretty much everyone plays no help on my son no matter where he is on the floor. we now have another kid they have to do pretty close to that with. it makes our PG and 3 almost impossible to keep from getting to the basket with not much help available. that said, i am still a fan of rewarding good play and making lineup changes here and there and not worry about hurting guys feelings or disrupting their routine. if you don't deserve to start every game, live with it and adjust.

i know this isn't a popular concept these days, but it goes back to players need to shoot shots they can make at a high % only. if you're not a 3 point shooter, don't try to prove that you are. it's not an equal opportunity sport. Durr takes good shots that he can make. i like it.

i mean to come anywhere close to meeting minimum goals, we pretty much need to win out at home which will be tough vs. Rutgers, Illinois and Wisconsin, but manageable. then who are we going to beat on the road? i mean MD, NW, and MN are the worst teams by B1G record. we all know how tough it is to win in MN. NW is a pretty solid team. if i had to bet, i'd say we finish 4-7 from here and end up 9-11 in conference and 18-12 overall. i hope i am way off and we do much better. i mean that record and a tourney bid would make me happier than the last several years. just hope we continue to head in the right direction.

i'm actually really happy to hear this. i know not many have much hope for him at this point, and i get it. for some reason i still feel like at some point he can put it together.

i am not a fan of Kopp's game personally. i am a little more fan of Stewart's, but definitely don't like them together and am all for subbing them out more quickly when they aren't taking and making shots. that said... don't underestimate the value of defenders not being able to help off them. those are things that don't show up in the box score. in the past, defenders could sag in the lane much more with poor shooters out there.

this has been my problem with the fan base. don't declare we are national contenders after one win or terrible after one loss. consider who we are playing and where. we are average. i hope we make the tourney.

there's really no good period to watch. very frustrating.

if i had to outline my expectations for IU basketball, i'd start with top 25 every year and in the tourney every year. granted you can't expect a coach to turn things around in year 1, but we have a long way to go.

i get that he is obsessed, but do you really ban a guy for his opinion? kind of like our society. don't agree with the loud group, you are evil and should be shunned?
