ready to see us play good teams. i think UNC will be in trouble coming into the Hall. it will be their first road game of the season and they have not looked good.

um... Race had 20 and 8 on 7-8 shooting and 6-6 FT.

it's amazing. many of the big name former players have no business being head coach in college. Patrick Ewing is awful. Penny is a recruiter, but a horrible coach.

looking at it statistically, he'd have to average 30.4ppg if we play the same amount of games as last year to be the all-time leading scorer. 24.7ppg to be #2. 16.8ppg to be #3. at his current pace, he would end with 2353, a little under 2nd. i believe if we play 4 more games than last year, he could average his current 22ppg and finish 2nd. not sure what the odds of us playing 39 games would be though.

i'm surprised you grew up in the Cheaney era and would pick Vic as your all-time favorite. i loved Vic, but just wouldn't consider him anywhere near my all-time favorite for what he did/accomplished at IU. Alford, Cheaney, Bailey, Henderson, Guyton, Yogi, Evans...

interesting that he has us that high. tough to say when some of these teams have played top 10 competition and we haven't played anyone ranked, but i love it.

VA made a HUGE jump. thought we'd be no worse than 10. oh well. 11 is pretty nice.

really nice to keep getting Bates and Gunn both good experience before we start playing the big dawgs. also have to think JHS and Reneau are only going to get better. anxious to see what they do with our ranking. i'm saying 10. i'm already nervous about the UNC game. it's tough living here and listening to how great they are and how great the ACC is. UNC has not been looking impressive.

pretty impressive company. 3rd seems very likely/realistic.

i would think #10 worst case scenario. UCLA/Baylor play each other and each already have a loss each. same with KY/Gonzaga. i guess they could jump MSU or the winner of Illinois/VA in front of us, but that would be pretty crappy. i mean we could jump Duke as well or even the winners of those other two matchups. at the end of the day, there will be 5 teams ranked #2-8 with at least 1 loss when we entered #12 and haven't lost. i don't know, but i love having a # by INDIANA again, and would really love to see us inside the top 10 going into the UNC game.

see, this is why i never agreed with posters who say we need Race shooting 3s. just because he is willing to take them, if he never hits them, that's still 0 points.

i just don't see it with Kopp. he hit 1-4 from pretty much wide open 3s. 2-8 from the field. not a ballhandler. okay rebounder i guess? okay defender? really doesn't bring much.

i mean we can get creative and say Geronimo hit a huge FT or Kopp finally hit a 3, so one of them are the MVP, but i'd say TJD with 30 on 13-16 shooting was pretty solid.
