  1. you just have to know that there is a group on here that will jump your every comment no matter what it is. they are basketball geniuses.
  2. i know i'm not supposed to question the almighty XJ, but it worries me that he will play like garbage again without JHS. not like we have another option, but it worries me. let's see it XJ. step it up tonight!
  3. just makes me think of Eric Gordon's injury impacted season. stinks to have a guy this talented for a short amount of time and have him battling injury.
  4. where are you in AZ? i lived in Lake Havasu for a year.
  5. hard for me to say really good win for a home game vs one of the worst teams in the conference and they were missing one of their key players. it was very encouraging to see Galloway and Bates though! XJ has been tough to watch the last 2 games. please tell me JHS is back Sat. really want that win. if we get him back playing at the level that he was with Bates and Galloway coming around...
  6. XJ has been tough to watch the last couple games
  7. most torn i have ever been. went with TJD, but wow Galloway will make us really good if he plays anywhere near that level. so good to see Bates coming around too!
  8. clearly it's not a huge deal, but what kills me is that our expectations are way different this year than the last few years right? i get that Rutgers isn't a bad team and that it is a tough place to play. thing is, we were picked by most to win the conference. sure we still can, but losing to a team that is currently below 8 teams in the conference in receiving votes in the AP poll. last year's winner lost 5 conference games. @ Illinois, @ MD, @ Mich St., @ Purdue are all pretty tough. gonna have to go undefeated at home in conference or win one or two of those.
  9. 14th. i'm good with that. sure would be nice tp get the next 3, but that will be tough. if we do, we'll be back in the top 10.
  10. i find myself on both sides of the fence this morning. i have really enjoyed watching this team and do think we are a solid, exciting team. that said, i have been guarded from the beginning that we really hadn't had any tests other than Xavier on the road who is an outside the top 25 team, and a great exciting home win against NC who was clearly way overrated coming into the season. then i swing back and say missing JHS is HUGE. then i swing back to we lost a conference road game to a team who is not projected to be in the top 9 in the conference. i'm just ticked bc this team seems like we shouldn't have complete stinkers like yesterday. defense doesn't slump. we have an all american in the post. we have a lot of experience in the starting 5. we have depth. of course i'm still excited and will hope we don't lose many more conference games just because they're on the road, but i am definitely concerned that this won't be the special season i thought we were going to have.
  11. it's hopeless with Scott. you just have to assume he will respond to every single post on every single thread and that he has no clue.
  12. seems right to me. that should put us at 6 as long as we win today. okay, now i am nervous.
  13. for sure. we pay a lot of money for our son to play on his high school basketball team. doesn't seem right at all. even worse - my oldest son won 2 state championships and we had to buy his rings! buy his state championship ring that he worked his butt off for years to attain. what sense does that make? he actually told us not to buy one for him because they are so expensive and he didn't need one. of course we still bought them, but there is something wrong.
  14. i would think with a win Sat. we are looking at #6 or #7
  15. really want to see UConn and AZ go down tonight. i guess Creighton too. i mean the TX/Creighton game helps either way. i hope one of them blows the other one out.
  16. so good to see that JHS is a big game player! Galloway may just be that 5th guy? still wish he could shoot, but Bates and Kopp just aren't what i hoped. i get that Kopp played pretty good D, but dang i wish he was a threat on the offensive end vs. good teams. such a huge night for IU bball. very exciting. with Creighton vs. TX, OK St. vs. UConn, and AZ at Utah, i'll be cheering for an upset or two. just want to see the Hoosiers keep climbing!
  17. i love playing to your strength. if we play great D, keep TOs down, and take smart shots... i'm good!
  18. TJD, but X and JHS were huge and Galloway would easily get the surprise performance/playing above his normal level that many people view as MVP.
