i think those days are gone sadly. i would imagine Ware was told he would not only start but be the focal point and be free to play on the wing, etc. same with telling Mbako he would start and play the 3.

i know i shouldn't question Mike Woodson, but it does seem pretty easy. can never have 3 of Reneau, Ware, Sparks, Banks, Walker in together. like 0 minutes. always have either Reneau or Ware in. always have either Cupps or Galloway in. generally have minimum 3 starters in. take advantage of resting guys in combination right before or right after a media timeout. sub guys briefly on FTs and then get them back in after a short break. these are 18-23 year olds. they should be in really good shape.

i agree. i just feel like in this college basketball world if you are an IU with the NIL situation, you should be able to have high expectations every year right? like "rebuilding" shouldn't really be a thing. you just reload. i think nearly all of us agree that this is a poorly constructed roster. i get that you can't get all of your recruiting targets, but you just have to do better than this. absolutely hurts my soul that the SMELLERMAKERS somehow come up with guys who always fit their system perfectly and have less stars by their names and are always more relevant than us at this point.

i'm so pumped to be there! i don't think there's much chance of a win, but i expect it to be rockin and a competitive game. if not, my rate of drinking will definitely help numb it.

believe it or not, my opinion is that it is okay to be negative and critical and still be a fan. may have to check the rules though. some say you have to just always be happy, optimistic, and never question the coach to be a fan. the game and society have changed a lot, so maybe i'm wrong?

my frustration (and this isn't aimed necessarily at you) is i don't see why we wouldn't have high expectations this season. only argument is we lost a lot from our roster. that said, most high level teams do these days. transfer portal, early NBA, etc. new world of college bball is that the roster is going to change a lot every year. so we have three 5 star guys, a 6th year PG, and a returning starter from last season. that's not as much talent as most?

i don't blame this on the officials. i blame it on the subbing and us falling apart. also our lack of mental and physical toughness.

i agree. you do have to get some rest when you can, but you can't at the expense of completely losing momentum and the lead.

My buddy just informed me that we will start the Kansas game 2 rows behind Kansas bench. He said if we want we can change at half to 7th row in a different spot or go watch in the Club and have beers and snacks. I'm already losing my mind and it's a week away!

Ugh. I feel VERY old. And UGH... I know that sets the bar high and I am a terrible gift giver.

Holy crap! My wife just surprised me this morning with my 50th birthday present... I am flying into Indy Dec 14 to meet my buddy who still lives in Btown to spend the weekend and go to see the Hoosiers play Kansas on the 16th! I have been to a decent amount of games at The Hall, but haven't been to see a big time opponent since I was in college!
