still is, but a home win that we barely pulled out vs an unranked opponent will mask it until we lose at Rutgers. then we'll be right back where we were.

Malik is the MVP, but people are just excited to see X play well for once. He is the most important player on this team for sure. If he plays well, we can be good.

gotta admit i thought we'd be buried by now with that horrible lineup we had in. also a terrible no call on the moving screen and really thought Ware got fouled too.

so... we only had 3 team fouls. had 3 to give up before they shoot 1 and 1. you let them inbound, waste a few seconds, then foul. then they have to inbound again with not much time. then you foul them again when they get it inbounds. gives them a couple seconds in the end if you do it right. we just didn't.

and that is how a losing team figures out a way to not lead at half.

eh, for the most part i disagree. you gotta pull them at least immediately. if you fall apart and are gonna get yourself out of it, you gotta put them back in. or you wait a bit and start subbing them in and out on dead ball offense/defense. if you can stay in it keeping them on the bench, you sit them.

i got you. that was maddening, but i don't think we see that much or at all any more. like i keep saying, the bad news is that we can't have any combo of 3 of these guys in together on the offensive end: Ware, Reneau, Sparks, Banks, Walker. when Mgbako is out we have to go with X, Cupps, and Galloway and not one of those other guys as a 3.

agreed. i like the short bench, but we don't have the right personnel to play a 3 in the 3 spot.

i go back to a previous poster saying we are in purgatory with Woodson at the helm. could be worse. can't fire him. gotta wait until he is ready to hang it up and hope we have the guts to go after a proven winner like Pearl or Beard. maybe May.
