  1. gonna be interesting. i think i'd like to see Cupps, Leal, Galloway, Mtaco, Ware. i bet the ball would move and we'd play smart bball. not much depth if we're missing X and MR. very intrigued for Sat now. i still think we win that one at home even if both are out. so all we'll be able to do is speculate up until then. are bets that X broke his arm? are bets that MR will be able to play Sat or soon after? those are my thoughts at this point. absolutely gotta get it though. we have two auto losses coming up with at OSU and at Purdue.
  2. i was apathetic to the last three losses. this one would be very concerning.
  3. this is what i feared the moment the hire was announced.
  4. for sure a great point. a lot of kids are desensitized to losing. they all play year around and so many games that they don't care as much as they used to care.
  5. really really like and agree with this post.
  6. very torn on my feelings about that. i want top talent, but i want the right mix. i'm not going to complain about him bringing in top talent. i don't think we're going to be better if Woodson gets lower rated recruits with the idea that he'll get them playing great basketball.
  7. really makes me sad to be a dawg at home vs an unranked team
  8. wow. i'll never stop watching Hoosier bball, but if we seriously have Woodson for 7-8 more years...i don't even know what to say. surely only one more, right?
  9. i assume you're talking about @IU Scott just let him know if you want him to send an email.
  10. wow. that's rough because i don't think we win all of those in the first place. if we do manage to win all of them, i sure hope it's enough!
  11. i agree about him being able to get the talent with our name and NIL money. i guess i don't have a lot of faith that we can do much better strictly from a talent aspect. Ware, Reneau, and Mtaco are 5 stars. can we get more than three 5 stars at a time? i hope. to be honest i do care about stars. of course i care even more about getting the right guys who fit together. so we just hope that we can continue to get 5 star guys, but ones who fit together better and can shoot.
  12. i think we win this game. that said, i think it is actually a HUGE one. confidence can't be running high with the current losing streak. we cannot lose this one at home. absolutely cannot. the guys should come out pumped, motivated, and confident that we will beat Iowa at home. if we come out soft, unsure, etc., this season will be really really ugly.
  13. i'm definitely skeptical that we can get much more talent than we have this year. obviously it's getting that talent level with the right fit and balance, but i'm not confident we'll do that. if we do, maybe it helps cover the coaching deficiencies. if we don't get better talent that fits together well, it's gonna be even worse than this season. ugh.
  14. nothing wrong with yesterday's effort. not a bad showing. just tough to accept that this is where our program is. also frustrating that we got one of the better performances of the year from X, but it still included a T (unwarranted, but nonetheless) and 2-7 from the FT line. also i mentioned in the game thread that Mtaco isn't as good as we need him to be. just to clarify, loved his rebounding and aggressive offense approach, but we needed him to be a consistent very good scorer for us to be good this year. he's not ready. would he be next year? i bet he would be, but i think he'll either enter the draft or transfer. hope i'm wrong on that!
  15. and let's also assume that the coaching staff is okay with what he's doing because he doesn't get pulled out for it or yelled at for it, right?
  16. i understand your perspective, but will say if the same issues are relevant every game, isn't it okay to point it out every game? i mean we could all try to go with the idea that if we have said it before, don't ever say it again, but then wouldn't we all just stop posting?
  17. i agree. i was one of those posters for sure. don't think you can be too disappointed or surprised with an 8 point loss at Illinois without Ware. the things that sucks is that i keep seeing people talk about apathy and have realized i'm getting to that point, but it kind of sinks in for me today. i'll never stop watching, so in that aspect i care, but realizing i'm to the point where i'm fairly happy that we at least played hard and beat the spread sucks.
  18. honestly closer than i would have ever imagined
  19. way closer than i thought it would be
  20. maybe Woodson figured out that he can't put the ball in the basket?
