Saw Vic on TV this morning...practicing with the Mad Ants in the Fort.

Takes me back to my youth. Once out of school for the year I would help Grandpa and Dad finish getting the crops in. Once in I would head to Minnesota with Grandma and Grandpa. We would fish in the morning and mushroom hunt in the afternoon. A week straight of eating walleye and morels. Dang I miss that.

I hear that on all the boards I visit...a lot of truth to it.

Well it looks as though the worst is over around here after temps dipped to a balmy 6 this morning. Looks like I will have to put ice fishing on hold as the weather is supposed to return to normal.

It was 54 degrees in Warsaw, IN Sunday...Monday was something else.

South Bend tied their record snowfall for Nov. 11th. Fort Wayne set a new record for snowfall on the 11th. Record low temps here as well the next few days.

Who cares about owning a stadium? The fans don't. Geez the Pacers could play in Fort Wayne and it would be a sell-out. There are venues close by that would gladly take on an NBA game if their normal venue was "booked."

Well so be it. But maybe, just maybe they better take a closer look at baseball example....

So that is why there are back-to-backs? Nah. They need better "bean counters" in the NBA.

Still, 24 weeks+ to play 82 games.

Can someone explain to me when you have a 6 month season to "squeeze" in 82 games why they play back-to-backs?
