There are 3 schools in the Big 12 that are members of the AAU. Kansas, Iowa St., and Texas. FWIW A&M is a member as well.

I don't think Kansas can leave without K-State. Seems that is in their state legislature or something. At least that was the case a few years back.

I have been following the speculation on conference realignment for awhile now. Most theorized that at the end of all of it there would be 4 "super conferences" with 16 teams. There were a scant few that said 4 conferences with 20 teams each. But all seemed to agree that the Big 12 would dissolve.

As I said, let them play. The consequences are what they are.
