  1. Posting this here for those that missed it... https://www.cbsnews.com/news/michael-lewis-premonition-60-minutes-2021-08-01/
  2. Oh really? https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/cubs-jed-hoyer-implies-kris-bryant-anthony-rizzo-javier-baez-are-to-blame-for-extension-talks-falling-apart/
  3. I dunno. What works in some areas doesn't work in others. Big Boys are not in my area anymore, there is a reason for that. What reason? I have no idea.
  4. You got me on an "irk" of mine. There is no NBA specific HoF. People talk "Batman" and "Robin" or #1 and #2. On merits alone Paul George would be a 1st ballot NBA HoFer. The Pacers have had very few of those "types."
  5. Now dammit, you knew what I was saying. And tell your son to leave me a piece of pizza.
  6. Amen...the Pacers need to grow some balls and throw the dice. Better to try and fail than never try at all.
  7. Per CBS... https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/big-12-pac-12-leaders-meeting-to-discuss-alignment-options-including-potential-merger-or-scheduling-deal/
  8. If Portland was stupid then so was Houston...
  9. Guys go where they feel a championship is on the horizon...history shows that.
  10. And that right there is why we go the pizza route...me and the Mrs. can get about 3 meals out of a large pizza.
  11. There was a time when I would have bet the farm that Tisdale was gonna be a NBA legend. Good thing I didn't bet the farm...
  12. Don't fret, there will be teams out there that gobble them up.
  13. According to what I am "seeing" the Pacers have appeared in the play-offs 27 times in 45 seasons in the NBA.
  14. LOL. To change gears, I don't know how this season is gonna end this year but I have thoroughly enjoyed it thus far. And regardless of how it finishes the Reds seem primed for another good season next year with or without Nick.
  15. ...or the Mets simply didn't offer him enough money?
  16. The Pacers "joined" the NBA for the '76-'77 season. I wonder if they have the most play-off appearances in that time frame without winning a title?
  17. I know they were Elias Brothers in Michigan...I haven't been to Tennessee in a few years but have a trip planned for this coming winter. Will have to stop going and coming in Cincinnati.
  18. Seems like it plays a major part in the NBA. Not so much in the NFL or MLB.
  19. LOL They were Azar's in my neck of the woods. Are Big Boy restaurants still around? The last one in the Fort closed last summer. I loved that place.
  20. Did anybody see that the Mets failed to sign their 1st round(#10 over all) pick? They could not come to an agreement with Vandy's Kumar Rocker. I guess I never realized how this worked as I just assumed that meant the Mets wouldn't have nothing to show for that pick. Instead the Mets get a #11 pick(compensatory) next year in addition to wherever their other 1st round pick is gonna be.
