He's very active on offense and defense. I'm unsure what the level of the competition was. But he is worth looking at.

This one for undisputed top dog in B1G.

Obviously HSN does not function well with this much time between games. 😁
Come on gang.
Well most of us didn't do well in "sandbox".

The reason we aren't ranked is because we started out that way....and we haven't gotten on a roll. I guarantee had we beat Michigan last week we would be ranked. We need like a 3-4 game winning streak with a ranked opponent in there. Problem is when we do get a signature win like OSU/PU we blow it with a loss and kill any momentum in the writers eyes. They don't know who we are....they know we are dangerous but not consistent. It's much harder to get in then to stay in. Once you break the top 20 you have to lose multiple games in a row to fall out...and we also haven't done that either. We just started to low and haven't put together 1-2 weeks of consistent winning....but we are very close now. Beat ILL and then the polls would come out after a big win and a nice stretch for us. We just need that winning taste in their mouth before they vote....like two weeks ago leaving that Michigan game the last thing they saw they forgot all about the good wins of Neb and Purdue back to back without Trayce basically for most of both. They would love to have us going into that MSU game with both of us ranked if they could....ILL is key.
I think our strength of schedule has hurt us, too. Fewer opportunities to make some noise.
Although I felt that we should be ranked if we would've beaten UM, I doubt now that that would've happened had we won..

IMHO second half of our B1G schedule much more difficult than the first. Hope we've improved enough to keep up.

No bench. Tough break for them. They've lost some talent to one thing or another.

Just got home...a few observations.
- XJ is in complete control of this team right now. It's really impressive, and that was maybe the best 1-for-8 performance I've ever seen.
- Race is ridiculously strong. He gets so many 50/50 rebounds by the sheer strength of his hands and forearms.
- Galloway is so important to this team on both ends. He's incredible defensively and he's so good in transition offensively.
- This team seems to be in a place where everyone has really settled into their roles, everyone knows where to be and what is expected of them on both ends. I never felt that way with any Archie team.
- Our defense is elite. Maryland isn't a good offensive team, but IU is an elite defensive team. Imagine the score if UMD didn't go 16-for-16 on free throws.
- TJD, Race and JG erase a lot defensively. They completely control the paint.
- We need to find a way to get Stewart and Kopp involved offensively.
Things aren't going to be perfect. We're going to lose some games, but this team is really coming together and playing well as a unit. It's exciting.
So, young man, I think you may have a career ahead of you in journalism.

Illini coming back to the field?

Great game for the Hoosiers. Defense dominated.
-
Defensively I think this is our best overall game. Offensive all right, but not our best.

The clock is our friend now.

Even more impressive considering the rough stretch he had at one point this season. Props to the kid for weathering the storm and making some adjustments to his game.
Did you say "storm"?-

MSU beating down UM.
-
The tape shows he has some range from 3, but his shot is too flat. He's a lefty. Hard to tell about his mid-range game.
A couple of little things I noticed. He does play the passing lanes well. He also hustles to get position on the weak side for put backs. He has good timing and blocks quite a few shots. He's very long as he has a 6'9" wing span.
-
Well thought it much worse than PF. So that's good.

Here we go.
Love the play, the hustle, the energy, the athleticism.
The guy isn't hitting the floor without Jordan hitting him with half his body in the chest.
JG saw a little old lady (LOL) who needed help getting back in her seat on the floor level when the PSU guy obviously impeded his path to help her. So it would've been an impeding assistance to LOL call on PSU which the ref overlooked.

That's too bad. IU bench is pretty short, too.
