IU may be the first to 700 losses but they've played 133 years. They aren't last in winning percentage. Wake forest, new Mexico st and utep have played for 100+ years and have a lower winning percentage.
So it could be worse.
You made my DAY!

I am tired of Allan's raw raw and LEO Montra It is time for the University to decide if they want to have a competitive football program or if they are happy at being historically the worst program in football. Either spend the money on the program or just put the money on the programs that are actually competitive.
Yeah but we can't even keep good assistant coaches. How we going to get and keep a good HC?

Pass interference.

I hope he's out for the rest of the game due to overprecaution and he makes a full and speedy recovery.
Since when did you start being politically correct?

Well, I did have to pause watching the game to go complete some work I get paid to do. Maybe I should find something else for the 3rd quarter.
Take the quarter off!

Every week my optimism returns before kickoff. Only to be left deflated after the 2nd half begins. I hope this week is different.
Don't watch the 1st half!

If we're going to go to a bowl, we need to win this one. Unfortunately Md. has shown much more than IU has on both sides of the ball.

Who do we even expect to be the starting 5? Seems like there’s a ton of options so it’s hard to figure out a rotation. Is JHS a day one starter?
Yes. Good defender and playmaker. He'll compliment X well.

Per CBS:
Stevens did not consider returning as Celtics coach
When the news of Udoka's suspension first dropped, many assumed that Stevens himself -- the team's former coach and current president of basketball operations -- would return to his former seat. It made sense. The Celtics are a championship contender. Asking a first-time head coach to take over under such unfortunate circumstances puts that coach in a difficult position. Stevens has proven he can win with this roster.
But as he explained, he did not consider returning to the bench. While co-owner Wyc Grousbeck acknowledged that there was a conversation about it, they ultimately decided to go with Mazzulla. "Joe's the best choice to do that by a long shot," Stevens said.
I heard that was because Brad's waiting on IU to offer him the head coach job.

It's called "symbolism".

I think that there are 3 and maybe more games on the schedule that we can win and get to a bowl despite our current problems. Nebraska, Purdue, Maryland, and Rutgers. I know Md. gave UM all they could handle at UM, but that game is at IU. Unfortunately Rutgers and Md. getting better and we will have problems beating anyone in our division in the future if we don't start rolling.

I know we have recruited a lot better for IU standards but still not good enough to compete in the Big Ten. This year's class is going to be small and right now not that good of a class. You think on a college roster where you probably have 16 scholarship O Lineman so you would think you would have some quality depth in case of injuries.
The big problem that is IU football is the chicken or the egg which comes first. It is said to win you need great players to win and you have to win to get good players. So if you are losing that means you don't have good enough players so how will you ever get good enough players to win. That is why the majority of the top players keep going to the same top programs and you see the same teams on top.
Ratings wise our recruiting classes have increased and we were in top 25 in the incoming class. I would also observe that for the last 2 years we have relied on the portal for many skill players. I think this year that almost all of our offensive skill players are from the portal.

You are absolutely right. OL is our biggest weakness by far.

Back in the winter of 1970 I saw IU v. UK in the Old field house. There were fold out bleachers on the side of the court and bleachers on the end that were a little more roomy. Adolph Rupp was still UK's coach. He had injured his foot. When he took his seat on the sidelines, he placed his foot on a stool with a beautiful Kentucky blue pillow. Of course, the IU fans hooted and hollered at him. All in good cheer. This was the one and only year that Big George played for the Hoosiers. Ritter, Harris, Wright, and Downing were the other starters. UK was highly ranked and the Hoosiers had high expectations. UK scored with seconds left in regulation to tie the game. The noise made it hard to hear anything as IU inbounded the ball. When Ritter hit a half court shot to apparently win the game, the roof literally came off. But the refs waived off the field goal because Big George had called timeout. Ritter was unable to duplicate his feat on the replay and IU lost in OT. And as they say the rest is history. I guess Big George saved a Kentucky Playboy pinup that day from getting trampled that day from a vicious IU mob storming the court.
